The Most Powerful Army That You've Never Heard Of

1. You used that situation as much as you could yourself, in order to get strategic depth in AFG in disguise of taliban.
2. Manners in war? That wasn't a kitty party dear. There is no manner in war, only honor.
unfortunately, there us manner in war, we dont practice it then thats our fault.

you were just arguing with Oscar, that events that happened 25 years ago are irrelevant.
you were the ones who were sending fighters and huge amounts of money.
yes it is something to brag about.
one does not simply come out of an insurgency so quickly, so i doubt it was so great

No, I was saying that comparing the reality of the UAE military TODAY with that of 25 years ago makes no sense. Hence it being irrelevant to the current strengths and abilities of the UAE army. You obviously did not read what was written. I also objected to equaling the UAE army as mercenaries which is nonsense that no military analyst agrees with. Once again the 1980's are over. Just like events that took place 1000 years ago when Arabs ruled half of the world are irrelevant in this topic.

LOL. 1000 Saudi Arabians joined the fight at most. Against the Soviets that had killed 2-3 million Afghans. How many Pakistanis let alone Afghans fought in comparison? You do the math.

So quickly? It took a few years. I have not made any comparisons. I just answered your claim of KSA not having faced any insurgency which is factually wrong.

Keep blaming your miseries and problems on outsiders. That will solve them for sure!

No, they are not but Pakistani Pashtuns are Pakistanis last time I checked and there were 1000 times more Pakistani volunteers than any Saudi Arabians (at most 1000 people) or other Arabs. In fact this is completely natural as Afghanistan is your neighborhood. Just as it is purely natural that Arabs are the majority players in Syria and Iraq as this happens in their backyard. Similarly practically every member of the drug cartels in Mexico (that mind you have killed many more people than ISIS) are Mexicans or other Central Americans.

Yes, in the case of Pakistan it is now difficult due to their size and strength and the geography and a unstable Afghanistan nearby. It will be a difficult battle to win but ultimately such groups will always get defeated. Same with ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

Yet "that someone" was less involved than yourself and speaking about parties that were involved you are speaking about dozens of countries.

At the end of the day you are talking about a few handful of decision makers and people from the countries of those few decision makers cannot be blamed. Especially not when those people have not elected their leaders. Just so you know.

and another group will take its place

Not necessarily. It depends on what you do to prevent such groups from emerging. The main causes for people joining such groups in the Muslim world is poverty and sometimes political oppression. If they are operating in unstable countries they can grow in size. In stable countries such as KSA you will not see ISIS doing what they do in Syria and Iraq. Also at least it's easier to control such groups if they are in a "sleeper cell mode".

Speaking about Pakistan. What are you doing in FATA to prevent people there from joining Taliban and other groups? What are the solutions in other words in your opinion?

Is that supposed to be a bad thing? :what: I would rather have the Pakistan army that has no real combat experience then an army that is experienced, as a result of a war. Peace is the ideal situation just because you have an army does not mean it should be used, and definitely not as a pretext to gain combat experience.

Yes, an Army that sings only Kumbayah is the best by that standard. :D

UAE has some quality Airforce , they are well equipped , but again lack of War experience and Navy .. as we see the size of UAE a small but well trained army with a good Airforce can easily deal with any external threat , and as far as i know , UAE dont have any jihadi element in their country , so there wont be any internal threat ..
they should focus on Navy ...
