The Egyptian army is implementing a comprehensive modernization process for its forces and military equipment by contracting the most prominent and modern weapons available in the market from multiple sources.

Among the military deals for the Egyptian army in 2021 are the following:

MEKO-A200 frigates

Navy:

1 - The Italian frigate (Air Defense Destroyer) Pergamini, with 2 frigates, has been received.
2 - The Miko A200EN frigate, with 4 frigates, one of them will be made in the Alexandria arsenal, and Egypt will receive on June 30, 2 of the four frigates.
3 - Receipt of the fourth German stealth submarine Type 209/1400 Mod.
4 - Received the fourth piece of the Gwind 2500 . Corvette
5- The German government agreed to deliver the German company Lürssen nine patrol boats and one coastal defense boat to Egypt instead of Saudi Arabia. Their value is 130 million euros, and Egypt received them in full.
6 - Egypt has purchased two supply ships belonging to the British Royal Navy, of the fortress category, and they are now being completely renovated and restructured, and they will provide all kinds of support for long-range naval operations and through which the forces can stay inside the waters for long periods.

Rafale FR3 Fighter

Air Forces :

1- Receipt of Italian helicopters Aw149 and aw189 from the Leonardo factory out of a total deal of 32 helicopters for search and rescue, combat, naval attack, anti-submarine and transport works.
2- The contract for 30 Rafale FR4 fighters, which is an advanced generation of fighter with a distinct and very advanced armament package that includes the air / air missile Meteor, the new generation Mica, the air / land cruise missile (Storm Shadow) and the Hummer 1 ton satellite-guided missile bombs industrial
3- Contracting two planes from France of the Merritt A330 class of fuel tanks to supply the fighters with air-to-air fuel.
4- Contracting a French military satellite “Tiba 2” for surveillance, reconnaissance and espionage work.

1 - Contracting for 16 German iris-T air defense batteries, short, medium and long range, and a number of them have already been delivered.
2 - The contract for the Russian medium / long-range Buk-M3 system, and part of the deal has been delivered.
3- The purchase of 4 French GM400 early warning radars. The radar range reaches 470 km, and it can detect combat aircraft from a range of 450 km and cruise missiles from a range of 250 km.
4- Receipt of the last part of the deal for the “Bastion-P” coastal defense system, with a maximum range of 350 km.

Ground Forces:

Multiple deals witnessed from the first personal armament, passing through personnel equipment, multiple armored vehicles of the Crocodile class, ST500, the Sinai armored vehicle, the Korean K9 cannon that was contracted at the IDEX 2021 exhibition in Egypt, communications devices, night vision, surveillance, reconnaissance, small drones carried by individuals, and robots for various uses, including removal of Mines, negotiations on the Korean “Black Panther” tanks, and missile launchers from Belarus with ranges greater than 100 km.

This year, advanced Egyptian military industries also appeared, including 3D and 2D radars, armored vehicles, armed drones, robots specialized in various fields, self-propelled cannons, electronics, Avionics, and advanced technological devices for the first time manufactured in Egypt..

Egypt has credible deterence against Turkey conflict is off the table in their relations it is more like a position of strength to strength relations. Turkey is slightly stronger of the two but not by much to rollover them just slightly because Egypt has been tirelessly purchasing an trying to stay within distance and working hard to close the gap

Actually Egypt is modernizing its armed forces..it hasn't been done for the last 25 years..
Turkey too is modernizing its armed forces.. It is a normal process and has nothing to do with EEZs or political misunderstandings. they both had enough strength to fight each other in the last decades if that was it..

The Egyptian army is fundamentally mismanaged and incompetent with generals more focused on politics and the economy rather than actual military pursuits. The engineering and logistics authorities are ironically more prepared for bulldozing defensive positions and replacing it with real estate developments for Turks to buy as opposed to sustaining combat operations against a NATO force.

The EAF despite some big ticket purchases lacks the support craft and has limited training in conventional air to air engagements, maybe Greece could help bolster this. Especially considering the backbone of the Egyptian Air Force is left naked in long range engagements by lacking a BVR capacity. Maybe they could put up a decent fight in the beginning with Rafales but long term, TAF capabilities would wear the EAF down.

I could only see the Egyptian Navy actually having a chance of putting Turkey on the backfoot with its purchases. With some excellent choices especially with the FREMM but ultimately if it's going head to head against the Turkish navy which actually can build and maintain its own domestic warships with capacities that aren't reliant on the goodwill of the EU, something that Egypt lacks is concerning.

Have you ever fought with Mig-21s against F-4 phantoms.. 1 and a half generation more advanced and downed them many times over?

That is a small example about the air-force..the same goes for the army, navy and the air-defense.. and against a much worst foe than Turkey.. US-rael itself..?

From Airforce to Navy they will come from 30 years back. Turkey is not country anymore who purchase weapons from x countries. But a exporter to other countries, owns a industry and can make his own systems. What Egypt did last 5 years is nice for them, but that will be headeacht by time. Fifthy procent of ther fighters will be grounded because of maitain isseu, you have fighters from 3 countries. On the other side, Turkey will design it weapons and not finance other countries industry the money stays in Turkey.

F16 will be ours last fighter purchase from Americans and ther last upgrade kit. Our own AESA radar will be installed on our F16 block 30 what will be block 70 level.

Egypt have leveled up ther navy for now, still not pair. That will change from next year. Fist I class with only Turkish sensor package and weapons will enter service, Egypt sensor package on ther ship is poor. First AIP sub will enter service untill 2027 every year one of them. After REIS class subs is finished we will begin with MILDEN 3000 ton sub project this will be after 2030. We will have 14 modern SUBS before 2030 and after MILDEN it will be light years comparing navy with Egypt. After I class we will have AAW frigatte with 8000 ton with 64 VLS pacakge, let them buy more if they have the money.

Aircraft carrier project, drone ship project, mini subs 500 ton project and the list goes on.

then only Turkish Missiles will be enough to hit military targets in Egypt and Greece
