The mighty Satavahana dynasty .

Post these links in neutral forum and then see other people laugh at you. Everything so far you have claimed have no scientific base. Seriously its not just me but whole world laugh at Indian claims.
.

what scientific base ??The myth of Indo aryan theory was busted by genetic research done by ccmb in collabaration with MIT and Harvard universities.. If sme genius could find wrong with the findings of scientists from these premier institutes, he has to be given a noble prize. Moreover, the study got published in famous American journal on genetiics and what neutral form do you need than a joural of such high stature ??

The study was conducted by CCMB scientists in collaboration with researchers at Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health and the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. It reveals that the present-day Indian population is a mix of ancient north and south bearing the genomic contributions from two distinct ancestral populations - the Ancestral North Indian (ANI) and the Ancestral South Indian (ASI).

At least not in NCERT history textbook apart from a chapter which mentions about them in section related to South Indian history after the fall of Maurya Empire. But i guess state syllabus especially that of Andhra Pradesh , Maharashtra , Karnataka gives this empire the due respect it requires but not the National history texts.

Yup i studied state syllabus from Karnataka.

What's interesting about the Maurya successors like the Satavahanas in the South, Sungas in the East, and Kalingas in the South East is the level of commonality between these peoples.

Their architecture, clothing styles, etc. are so similar even though they're bitter enemies and separated by many, many miles.

Here's something that will interest you.

Queen Naganika, wife of king Satakarni of Satavahana dynasty, is perhaps the earliest person in history of India whose name has been associated with the king on the coins. The inscription at Nanaghat in western India records the donation made by the Satavahana king Sri Satakarni and his queen Naganika at the celebration of different sacrifices (30 B.C.). The donations were in coins (Karsapanas). The Satavahanas had trade relation with the Roman Empire. The Roman empire supplied the base metals for the native currency. The periplus mentions the importation of silver. One inscription from Junnar records the guild of barriers. This is the unique evidence from Junnar. It was likely that king Satakarni melted down the Roman silver coins at Junnar and coined his Karsapanas. Silver coins of Satakarni-I and Naganika from Junnar have proved that they were issued on the occasion of Asvamedha sacrifice.
Women occupied a very high position in the society of ancient India and this is a great example of it.

Ancient Indian aristocrats are commonly shown with huge, elaborate earring that would stretch out their earlobes.

Here's a pair from Satavahanas that managed to survive thousands of years.

The Satavahana Dynasty was the first of many great Empires which were produced by the Deccan and southern India. The Satavahana Dynasty defeated the Scythian invaders and laid the foundation of the great Martial tradition of the Deccan and southern India. This Martial tradition led to the establishment of some of the most powerful Empires in South Asian history in the Deccan and southern India like the Chalukya Dynasty which defeated the Arab invaders,
the Rashtrakuta Empire which was described by the Arabs as one of the 4 great Empires in the World in the 9th century,
the Chola Empire which invaded major parts of Southeast Asia, the Vijayanagar Empire which defeated the Turkic invaders , the Maratha Empire which destroyed the Mughals and many more.

.
The greatest rulers of the Satavahana Dynasty were certainly Gautamiputra Satakarni and Sri Yajna Satakarni who defeated the Scythian invaders. But Sri Pulamavi should also be mentioned as he seems to be one of the earliest Indian rulers who used two-masted ships.

The Satavahana Dynasty is one of the earliest Indian Dynasties which used horse archers. I wonder weather
they started to use horse archers after the Scythian invasion or even before.
