Tea plants are native to East and South Asia, and probably originated around the meeting points of the lands of northeast India, north Burma and southwest China.

Although there are tales of tea's first use as a beverage, no one is sure of its exact origins. The first recorded drinking of tea is in China, with the earliest records of tea consumption dating to the 10th century BC. It was already a common drink during the Qin Dynasty (third century BC) and became widely popular during the Tang Dynasty, when it was spread to Korea, Japan and possibly Vietnam, although when the Vietnamese began to drink tea is not recorded.

You guys know coffee originates from Yemen?

Yemanite got coffee from Ethiopians.

I did not know that. Who invented tea?? Was it the Chinese or the Brits??

Chinese discovered the use of Tea. Brits also found wild tea plants in North-East India and tea became a major cash crop in India.

what???

so the most scientists at that so called Islamic golden age werent persian do you mean?

No, you guys had scientists but not all were Persian like I said (look up al andalus, it was the moorish/spanish scientists here who influenced most of Europe). Besides back then nobody referred to themselves by their ethnicity anyway. Example Muhammad al Bukhari was ethnically Uzbek but most of his works were compiled while he was in Persia so now by your logic that must mean his works only belong to the Persians?? I gave you examples of a scholar but you will probably find the same thing for scientists.

The history of coffee goes at least as far back as the thirteenth century. The story of Kaldi, the 9th-century Ethiopian goat herder who discovered coffee while searching for his goats, did not appear in writing until 1671 and is probably apocryphal. From Ethiopia, coffee was said to have spread to Egypt and Yemen.

never heard of that so i decided to take a look.

Central Asia was Persian land which was later replaced by Turkic tribes.

Than I will make the argument that Persia was Islamic Abbasid land and his argument still does not apply. See we can go tit for tat all day, it will not make a difference.
