The Great Leadership Skills of PM Imran Khan!

At this point, Khan is just a figurehead. We know who makes the decisions behind him. And I'm fine with that. He has a good international image, he makes India burn, he doesn't bring his personal interests to the game like Nawaz with his pro India pro Saudi bias. He doesn't want to play dynasty politics. That's more than enough. Economy will stabilize hopefully with time.

.
I used to think that He could be a good PM but after almost 2 years, my thought changed to "A confused PM".

He does not have ability to take decisions and responsibility. As I remember his justification on U-turn - I believed that mostly confused person only takes U-turns..

"Hitler and Napoleon (Bonaparte) suffered huge defeats and caused losses as they did not take U-turns," Imran Khan said.

The problem is that as economic & societal pressures increase from an extended lockdown, more and more people will become frustrated and stop following SOP's, and then you'll not just have the same situation with the virus spreading, but also potential riots, violence, and a bigger economic collapse.

The vaccine is still about a year to two away - it simply isn't feasible to keep the country locked down till then.

Unfortunately, the responsibilities here lie with the people & businesses - here in the US it is the same.
If the government decide to open shops and say
- there are SOPs that should be followed,
PM Imran appealed to the whole nation to follow the standard operating procedures laid out by the government for the safety of people. "If we see a spike in cases in certain areas, those areas will have to be put under lockdown again," he stressed, urging business and factory owners to act responsibly.

- then the shops open and SOPs are not followed,
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 36,736 and fatalities to 788 on Thursday, as buyers and traders’ willful disregard for the safety protocols has given the virus a free rein to infect and kill more.

- those shops are sealed but then court says to open them
The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday ordered authorities to reopen all shops and markets that had been sealed for violating social distancing guidelines to curb the spread of COVID-19, saying shopkeepers must be made to “understand the situation.”

I think it is indication that things might not be looking too good (I hope I am wrong, I don't want the virus to take another life anywhere)

Pakistan needs to prioritize its own economy even if it means burning bridges with friendly countries. This is the reason we are stuck. Pakistan is too afraid to take and big and risky decisions that will improve its economy and alienate its allies.

Pakistan could have exported and sold hundreds of JF-17's to Iran, GCC, and other countries around the world. It would have pissed off our allies but it would have made our economy stronger.

When you have money you don't need friends

We are sorry that the Indian public is disappointed with the Pakistani PM - we will try to do better in the next election and keep these posts in consideration.

And you think awam is masoom. The most corrupt is awam itself.

. .
awaam is born masoom........but............

So does any leader. But if we check the history till today awam is the most corrupt element who hide theirselves behind the tag "masoom". But truth is our society is corrupted and to hide their corruption they try to find weak target famouse public figure like PM, Judge etc.

Illegal bulidings and ppl living in karachi is the example of it.

You know my father's now retired business acquaintances met imran quite a few times when he would come to the UK to raise funds for his cancer charity. They said that imran had a habit of talking down to people, could be very patronizing and when they talked about politics it soon became apparent that imran didn't have any real solutions apart from bringing stolen money from abroad back.

All in all he came off very naive considering that he has been in politics for some 20 + yrs, is Oxford educated and worldly travelled they my father's acquaintances knew then that imran would struggle. That's why some parts of the media have labelled imran im the dim long before he became prime minister.
