Pakistani Diaspora has at least 2-3 or if in some cases 4 generations of people living abroad Pakistan as a state has existed for close to 70 plus years however culturally, socially, economic and political wise we have been stagnant our disapora enjoys many success and failures as time and assimilation seeps in the diaspora mainly in the Anglosphere(US,Canada,Australia,NZ) and etc do you think future generations of Pakistanis will maintain links with their motherland or will it wither away due to the stagnant position Pakistan faces

Good question. I think the answer lies in looking at other diaspora communities who have travelled the path before us and are further down the timeline. Examples to look at are Italian-Americans who are about three generations ahead of us, or Irish-Americans, Chinese-Americans etc. I think things will change but so will Pakistan but the connection will remain thanks to modern technology and air travel which means Pakistan for instance is only a mobile call way or eight hours flight.

As Pakistanis are Brown and not White, they will always have a connection to Pakistan. As times are changing with communication and travel becoming much easier, the Pakistani diaspora will always have a connection to Pakistan. Pakistanis in the UK are in some ways what Mexicans are to America, minus the shared border.

Eventually the future gens will mix in with the local populations or form a community outside of the locals again uncertain future

Why bother about the hellhole which you were lucky enough to escape? Be a responsible law abiding citizen in your new homeland and integrate.
I see your point but human being are emotional creatures. If your useless brother is not doing well do you give up on him?

It will take a very long time though since most Pakistanis are fairly practising Muslims. Only when the Pakistani communities in the West become mostly irreligious will the majority start inter marrying with the local populations. I can't see this happening for a while...our religion pretty much prevents us from assimilating into the native population

I noticed the process is slowly occuring which is what I warn the folks about if Pakistan lags and stagnates most will forget their roots
