Interesting, I'm assuming a small airborne operation is launched to get to The camps. But staying 1-2 months in a hostile territory behind enemy lines isn't possible nowadays.

I agree, we do need to root out their nests in Iraq. But it's just impossible to do so right now. YPG who controls The area is hostile to us and American leadership doesn't want our troops in their proxy's lands.

You seem to think that Qandil and northern mountainous area's are the only locations with PKK presence. All of the KRG is safe operational space for the PKK, hence their presence in Kerkuk which lies far south from Qandil.

Their main camps are Hakurk, Avaşin, Basyan, Zap, Kanimasi, Haftanin, Metina. We can just start with cleaning these. Cleaning camps would finish PKK's attacks on Turkey.

You really think so? 25 years ago saddam Hussein ruled Iraq. He couldn't care less about a Turkish operation against The pkk. He would even encourage it. Since he used chemical weapons on March 28, 1988 Against the Kurds of Halabja in northern Iraq, killing an estimated 5,000 civilians. The attack was part of the government's campaign to suppress rebellious Kurds across northern Iraq. The campaign leaves 180,000 Kurds missing and presumed dead.

Now ypg rules northern Iraq who has 100k manpower and is hostile to Turkey.

how long is prison sentence?

Depends on person, intelligence about that person and terrorism acts he/she attended.

If there is no known being a member of terrorist organisation is 5 years minimum.

If they were captured with weapons at operations it is 5-10 years. But there is additional criminal sentence generally. (if they do not give intel)

If they give intel that number decreases and even there might be no prison sentence with goverment protection depending on no known armed acts of terrorism and just being a member.

If there is known participation in terrorist attacks there will be in additional sentence depending on deaths, people wounded and other damages given.

It is a really complicated issue. See TCK 314, 221. There are other laws too about killing and wounding people. There are laws 5725 CGTİHK 107/4 about execution of a sentence, that might be helpful too.

Execution of sentences about terorism is extremly varied in our country. It is very detailed and there is some changes for every variable.

I dont understand why they dont add machine guns on it.. A few bombs alone are not very efficient to kill a group of terrorists when spotted, hence Thunderbolt.

To deal with scattered guerrilla fighters whom are hard to spot especially from the air, that will result in airplane crashes especially in mountain regions. A-10 deals with tank columns, heavy large military formations. Not some scattered fighters who hide, for that pods are used to spot them.

For that, even in IS campaign you can see A-10 usage is very limited.
