Flaking, toxic stealth coating with equally toxic glue. International dateline software glitches. Pilots nearly passing out from lack of oxygen and the feared "Raptor Cough."
So the jet went through a battery of extensive tests, over many years, only for one general to suggest something completely unrelated to the configuration of the plane's innards: Maybe human beings just weren't physiologically equipped to max out the attributes of this total sky carnivore.

Proven or not, it doesn't matter. The whole F-22 and F-35 projects wasted loads of money and the JSF is now in jeopardy as the costs keep on rising. All the partners are decreasing their orders and Lockheed already fired > 100 workers recently and more could follow. The EU participants realize the costs are too much and we haven't started talking about maintenance costs. The F-22 and F-35 all have their problems and if you think the F-22 psychologically can scare away Chinese and Russian air force then you underestimate us.

The last time the US navy fought a naval war was WWII. All the current US ships are at best unproven against a modern navy.

not against china in any way ,but, logically your stand is flawed here, US has fought many wars after WWII,although the role of the navy was limited, they have immense wealth of experience in operating world seas, and they have learnt lessons from their experiences and mistakes, and have constantly been upgrading and changing their tactics. while china and Russia lack the experience of US. you are right here though, to test their capability, they have to go against some like Russia or China.

i dont know why chinese are always trying to boast themselves. but actually chinese military force is a kid infront of american military forces except your missile and nuclear weapon.
