Actually it's Reformists who try to show themselves as opposition to gain votes, sometimes by playing hardcore Islamists, sometimes by playing the absolute opposite.Conservative/reformist is just a name used by actors to fool Iranian people, it's a show, nothing changes.
But lets end this nonsense rumor once and for all by seeing the list of presidents of Islamic republic:
1980-1981: banisadr dismissed because of being against clerics, conservative Rajai took his place, but was assasinated within a month.
Conservative Khamenei: 1981-1989
(pragmatic) conservative Rafsanjani, who co-created IRGC: 1989-1997
Reformer Khatami: 1997-2005
Conservative Ahmadinejad: 2005-2013
Rouhani: centrist, however backed by reformist, now critisized by reformist.
Reformist-conservative theatre is only created by khamenei and his corrupt circle to fool Iranian people. We need a new constitution and new system, a parliamentary Iranian system wherein Islamic republic party can compete next to other parties, If they are lucky and forgiven for their crimes and mismanagement in the last 40 years.
If they stay stubborn and don't change we will drown all together.
---------
BaniSadr a true reformist (and CIA payed agent) who committed treason during Iran-Iraq war and finally escaped to west alongside the head of MKO terrorist group.
Rafsanjani which later showed his true face and became the godfather of reformists, the man who when in power, was using people like Akbar Ganji (who was playing Islamists) to stick thumbtack in the forehead of girls. (Akbar Ganji who later showed his true face as well and joined his masters in west)
Conservative Rajaii who was assassinated by MKO terrorist group.
Rouhani the Reformist's candidate, who follows the very same reformist policies but used moderate title to firstly avoid the dispopularity of Reformists and secondly to advertise conservatives as extremists.
------------
nonetheless these titles are dead now, now it's just a fight between national Islamists and pro-west seculars.
a fight between those who want to solve the problems by relying on domestic potentials and those who want to solve the problems by firing scientists, closing R&D centers, and importing everything from shits to assembly lines.
No one has any different idea/plan in this country, no matter who is in charge, he will choose one of above policies, so you have to hold your wet dreams for now.
