The East Asian Music Thread

You can look for more music and post it up.

I forgot to mention some good Chinese musicians: SHE, Angela Chang, Eva Hsiao, Milk and Coffee (牛奶咖啡), Fan Fan 樊凡 .

I also have to say the Japanese music and Japanese influenced music sometimes makes me very disgusted when they put girls that look 12 on the screen as sex symbols.

They have a fetish for very short uniform skirts....see tokyo drift:lol:...perverts!!

I cannot agree with you more bro. It sickens me to see these youngsters being abused and portrayed like that. What are the promoters thinking? and why is the Japanese society so obedient with these decisions? They wouldn'y allow things like that to happen here in the UK. Complaints and charges for child abuse and paedophilia would follow

By the way, do also check out Leehom Wang. He is another talented Chinese singer with a great voice.

If you are into Japanese, then you cannot leave out Utada Hikiaru. She is simply amazing. Maybe not so much into her English work, but her Japanese songs are second to none. She has a very unique and powerful voice.

Miyavi is also pretty good. His music isn't to everyone's taste. For me he offers me something refreshing that is also different to the traditional Asian music, not to mention his unique voice.

I should have figured that most guys would be into martial arts music :)
Yes there are timeless pieces that never gets old. I like them too, but sometimes they can get a bit too overwhelming.

Here's one from the movie Ip Man.
