The discontents of South Asian culture

Simple answer, they pay billions of rupees in taxes to the Central government/local government.

And the central government spends that money on buying weapons from the West. India for some years now has been the second-largest importer of weapons in the world.

Of what use was an American C-130 aircraft to the woman who died of hunger in the railway station ?

Big companies invite skilled people,

Specifically about the IT industry, those "skilled people" have zero skills. There has been no computer operating system and microprocessor designed in India despite the approx two hundred thousand computer science graduates who flood out of Indian engineering colleges every year.

More taxes, more funds for the government for development, more business around the developed region, and more taxes, goes in an exponential circle.

Building metro rail lines that fly over choked roads and cheek-by-jowl buildings is no development at all.

Let me quote a favorite number of mine : Between 1995 and 2015 more than 300,000 farmers in India committed suicide primarily for economic reasons. Entirely avoidable. But the suicides still go on. Do those "skilled people" know about this and care about this ? A thousand IT drones buying the latest mobile phone hasn't allowed economic benefit to trickle down to the poor and oppressed.

.
I will again relate one story. I was buying a second-hand copy of the book Elon Musk. As I was paying the seller, the money fell to the ground. One young man beside me picked it up and gestured for me to wait. He pressed the money to his eyes in reverence and then gave it to me. What was that ? Why does he not understand that money system should be radically transformed - most of it removed ?

That man was most probably a Hindu. Money is goddess lakshmi and we worship it. When that note fell down he picked it up and put it on his eyes to apologize to the goddess. Pakistanis may not understand that as they have not seen and interacted with many Hindus but I think you will understand that.
Similarly if by accident I drop a book, or my foot touches a book I put it on my forehead. We consider a book to be the manifestation of Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge. It is the sanskaar we have been taught from our childhood.

.
You must look at cost benefit analysis. That poor woman who died had my sympathy but not my empathy.

I am left speechless.

I have donated to the PM-Cares fund.

Not enough. The idea must be to replace the political, economic and social system to become a welfare state. Only then will unnecessary deaths by hunger or suicides not occur.

It is the government's job to care about the people.

I agree, but we the people should bring in such a governing system. Voting every five years has not removed problems in the last seven decades.

Revolution is needed.

You watched the movie "A Wednesday".in that there is a dialogue " Is tarah ke pest control ke liye hum sarkaar chunte hain" Replace "pest control" with helping poor. It is why we elect the government and pay taxes.

So how has this "pest control" worked in the last seven decades after Independence ?

Regarding empathy, with the leftist it is a slippery slope. Today you ask for poor, tomorrow you will ask for Pakistan, next you will ask for terrorists and maoists. Already some media outlets have started the project to gain sympathy for terrorists by calling them "son of headmaster", " Poor maths teacher " and what not.

The leftist and these media houses don't have the nation's interest in their hearts

Does the Right have empathy then ? All the Right seems eager to do is be militaristic externally and champion religion and build Ambani's second 25-storey home internally.

What have you done for your favorite number except whine about it on PDF since God knows when?

Another of your favourite whines. Do you realize that your whines are contradictory. Let me ask you? How does building a microprocessor or operating system help that poor woman who died

Revolution is needed.
We all know what kind of revolution the leftist want. Pol-Pot or Mao rings a bell? BTW we don't even need to go so far back in history. It is happening right now in US. The "revolutionaries" are looting Luis Vitton shops, Apple stores and Nike showrooms. They obviously need the best brands.

Wah kya logic hai. Wah Modiji Wah.
Are you saying that it will not happen or are you saying that it happening is not a bad thing?

I am saying how helping our country's poor, educating them, uplifting them out of poverty is related to helping Pakistan?

Safety and security of a nation are very important. If we abandoned all our weapons and start airing peace message through loudspeakers would an enemy listen or laugh at our stupidity.

Let me rephrase the last question for you, what's the use in providing farmers with free fertilizers when a woman died of hunger in the railway station. It's as illogical and stupid as that.
A C-130 is very important for the army who needs to transport heavy machinery or manpower around. If we feed ever poor people once at the cost of a C-130, they will not be hungry for a day, but for the army, it has a cascading effect. Could probably loss thousands of square miles of land, just because a transport aircraft wasn't available. Would communists have any idea on what to do then?

Specifically about the IT industry, those "skilled people" have zero skills. There has been no computer operating system and microprocessor designed in India despite the approx two hundred thousand computer science graduates who flood out of Indian engineering colleges every year.
That's quite an ironic statement. Remember communists were leading the protests against tractors and computers because it'll cause job loss to laborers. The result of it is, we are years behind the mechanization of industries. I feel sad when people brag about internet connectivity, they should've had in 2010 or using computers for the first time when we would've been using it since 2000s.

You should be the last one to talk about anything about the lack of industries or innovation because India's romance with communist and socialist ideas killed off the potential of early industrialization.

Why we need so many farmers? How come a sector that generates less than 20% of GDP employs more than 50% of our population? This one sector is the height of inefficiency, could be a case study on how inefficient a sector can be in a country with more arable land than China.

You can't teach Rocket science from ISRO Propulsion lab, can you?

I didn't understand.

Sorry but when the traditional money system / capitalist economic system is equated with divinity, how can anyone begin to convince the believer that his belief is in something that is oppressive and unjust ?

What have you done for your favorite number except whine about it on PDF since God knows when?

I talk about it. Talking is the first step towards revolution.

You should also talk about it.

Another of your favourite whines. Do you realize that your whines are contradictory. Let me ask you? How does building a microprocessor or operating system help that poor woman who died

Because design of those two things are an intellectual exercise and that are generated or will lead to an environment where the larger issues of society can be rationally debated and corrected.

Right now it is not for helping Pakistanis but the leftist love to extend everything across the border. You know the recent incident involving Yuvraj and Harbhajan. As for glorifying terrorist it is happening.

Sorry but when the traditional money system / capitalist economic system is equated with divinity, how can anyone begin to convince the believer that his belief is in something that is oppressive and unjust ?

There should be no space programs otherwise how will flat-earthers convince people that earth is flat.

Money is not oppressive. Having money frees people from oppression. Only thing is they must work and earn it.

I talk about it. Talking is the first step towards revolution.

You are like rest of lefty loonies. All talk no action. Can't do anything but want to nationalize other people's money.

Because design of those two things are an intellectual exercise and that are generated or will lead to an environment where the larger issues of society can be rationally debated and corrected.
There is no connection

How about Cuba, Libya and the USSR ?

BTW we don't even need to go so far back in history. It is happening right now in US. The "revolutionaries" are looting Luis Vitton shops, Apple stores and Nike showrooms. They obviously need the best brands.

These looters were sparked by an unnecessary death but they are also the lower middle class and still lower still who can never hope to buy a Louis Vuitton bag or belt and thus are angry with the disparity. Happens in India too.

How do you explain the huge industrialization in the USSR ?

You should be the last one to talk about anything about the lack of industries or innovation because India's romance with communist and socialist ideas killed off the potential of early industrialization.

India is not a socialist country though has a few elements like the Public Distribution System for subsidized food.

But how come the Bombay Stock Exchange has been operating continuously for the last 165 years ?

Safety and security of a nation are very important. If we abandoned all our weapons and start airing peace message through loudspeakers would an enemy listen or laugh at our stupidity.

Why should Pakistan be our enemy ? Please read my article about Kashmir etc in the forum's magazine section.

Why should China be our enemy too ?

Let us convert our country into a socialist welfare state. Then, our enemy will be NATO and to defend ourselves we would rightfully need to either purchase weapons ( from the Easter bloc ) or make them ourselves.

Till this conversion happens we have absolutely no right to be the world's second largest importer of weapons in the world.

The inefficiency in Indian agriculture is because of its unscientific ways which has been largely continued for millennia. Let us introduce broad reforms like system-owned collective farming and new methods like Vertical Farms. This has lot of benefits.

Also, part of these new type of farmers will be retrained in the scientific methods, part can be put into operating instances in those factories where automation can be applied, part can be put in constructing new townships where Urban Farming and Vertical Farming cannot be done.

In short, change is needed not only in the workforce but also in the entire organization of work.

Cuba and Libya are $#! tholes. Don't say due to external factors because that's not true.
Check the calendar. USSR is dead and gone for 3 decades.

These looters were sparked by an unnecessary death but they are also the lower middle class and still lower still who can never hope to buy a Louis Vuitton bag or belt and thus are angry with the disparity. Happens in India too.
Encouraging looting and breaking the law. Bravo. A few weeks ago you were encouraging paedophilia.
What next? Encouraging terrorism? I won't be surprised at all.

I also can't afford LV bags but that doesn't mean that I will loot it. You freeloaders lefty loonies want everything for free. Now I am strongly suspecting that you are some out of work person who is being supported by my money.
How do you explain the huge industrialization in the USSR ?

How do you explain lack of industrialization in socialist India from 1947-1991

How do you explain the need to pledge our gold in 1991?

How do you explain our Ship to Mouth existence?

How do you explain the so called Hindu rate of growth of 2-3%

India is not a socialist country though has a few elements like the Public Distribution System for subsidized food.

Yeah Nehru was a big promoter of Private Industry and didn't forcibly take over Tata Airlines.

Indira just loved private banks

India didn't have a license permit raj before 1991.

@Naofumi this is what I was saying about lefty loonies asking us to love Pakistan

Some utopian fans aside, I don't think any government of any leaning has ever wilfully compromised on Nation's security, neither any government ever will.
