We all know what kind of revolution the leftist want. Pol-Pot or Mao rings a bell?
How about Cuba, Libya and the USSR ?
BTW we don't even need to go so far back in history. It is happening right now in US. The "revolutionaries" are looting Luis Vitton shops, Apple stores and Nike showrooms. They obviously need the best brands.
These looters were sparked by an unnecessary death but they are also the lower middle class and still lower still who can never hope to buy a Louis Vuitton bag or belt and thus are angry with the disparity. Happens in India too.
That's quite an ironic statement. Remember communists were leading the protests against tractors and computers because it'll cause job loss to laborers. The result of it is, we are years behind the mechanization of industries. I feel sad when people brag about internet connectivity, they should've had in 2010 or using computers for the first time when we would've been using it since 2000s.
How do you explain the huge industrialization in the USSR ?
You should be the last one to talk about anything about the lack of industries or innovation because India's romance with communist and socialist ideas killed off the potential of early industrialization.
India is not a socialist country though has a few elements like the Public Distribution System for subsidized food.
But how come the Bombay Stock Exchange has been operating continuously for the last 165 years ?
Safety and security of a nation are very important. If we abandoned all our weapons and start airing peace message through loudspeakers would an enemy listen or laugh at our stupidity.
Why should Pakistan be our enemy ? Please read my article about Kashmir etc in the forum's magazine section.
Why should China be our enemy too ?
Let us convert our country into a socialist welfare state. Then, our enemy will be NATO and to defend ourselves we would rightfully need to either purchase weapons ( from the Easter bloc ) or make them ourselves.
Till this conversion happens we have absolutely no right to be the world's second largest importer of weapons in the world.
Why we need so many farmers? How come a sector that generates less than 20% of GDP employs more than 50% of our population? This one sector is the height of inefficiency, could be a case study on how inefficient a sector can be in a country with more arable land than China.
The inefficiency in Indian agriculture is because of its unscientific ways which has been largely continued for millennia. Let us introduce broad reforms like system-owned collective farming and new methods like Vertical Farms. This has lot of benefits.
Also, part of these new type of farmers will be retrained in the scientific methods, part can be put into operating instances in those factories where automation can be applied, part can be put in constructing new townships where Urban Farming and Vertical Farming cannot be done.
In short, change is needed not only in the workforce but also in the entire organization of work.
