"Oil to electric" countdown! The State Council issued a document demanding that the public transport be fully electrified!

According to the 2017 Air Pollution Prevention and Control Work Plan of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Neighboring Regions, all new taxis in Beijing should be replaced with electric vehicles. Other cities are actively promoting the replacement of taxis into electric vehicles or new energy vehicles.

The next decade will be a strategic opportunity period for the development of China's new energy vehicles. China will list new energy vehicles as one of the strategic emerging industries, and more cities will join the electric vehicle promotion industry. China’s electric vehicles will usher in a new one. The rapid development of the wheel.

At present, taxi electrification has become a trend. With the advent of forced retirement of fuel taxis, more and more places will join the ranks of “oil to electricity”. The "Guiding Opinion on Giving Priority to the Development of Public Transportation in Cities" promulgated by the State Council pointed out that "mobilization of public transport" has become an irresistible trend for China to promote new energy.

This was already in the planning, good to see this policy finally adopted. Fighting pollution is a major task

Is the word 'electrified' banned in China?
Do not be idiot! The title has characters limitations please!

I can proudly claim that the Chinese enjoy a better standard of living and more personal freedom than Indians. Of course, compared with Americans, there is still a gap in Chinese living standards.
This is precisely the reason why the Chinese people’s efforts for a better life will not stop. The Chinese Communist Party’s goal is to make all Chinese people’s living standards better and better.

LOLOL.

Don't do that next time; print an advance warning. I WAS drinking coffee when I read your remark......:(:woot:

Is the word 'electrified' banned in China? is a simple question?
You are insulting the intelligence of you and others.

I?

I am not intelligent, otherwise I wouldn't be answering posts by a scrubby kid one-third my age.

On topic, it is a great move, and something can only be done in "evil commie China" by "dictator" government. By the way, I am not selling my BYD stocks.

It is a great move; one similar to the recent efforts (court-driven, sad to say) to change diesel to CNG for public transport. From this example, the next move ought to be towards electricity. Incidentally there are strong commercial and marketing moves towards electric cars.

However, on the government side, they have been tightening emission standards every year. Less than a week ago, a friend of mine sold a thirteen year old car I owned for a tiny amount, but it was so out of tune with urban emission standards that I was happy to get what I got.
