China can build faster and cheaper than anyone else right now. This is not even a contest anymore - USN Ticon class ships will all be retired by next 5 years. US has also stopped building Zumwalt because it turned out too expensive. Their ship building rate has surpassed what US achieved during 2nd world war. Unless there is any major conflict in next 5 years, US Navy has no hope in hell to match PLAN beyond that.
