This is a military custom in India. Flags are inverted on whatever captured be it tanks or heavy weapons.

There are 100s of such examples at museums and Regimental center.
These flags were painted just for sake of ego boost. I have yet to see a Pakistani tank and Pakistan Rifle with a big *** flag on it. Even an idiot knows that a big *** bullz eye on Tank is not helpfull in battle field. Snipers use stealth an painting a flag on their riffle will be the last thing they will ever do.
Show me one flag painted over any Pakistani tank currently in our inventory. These flags were painted with sole purpose to highlight their origin in museums.
