I have recently got my hands on this very interesting book. First published in 2006. I want to share this book with those who are interested. Is it OK to post a few pages a day in this thread?

Any suggestions Mods/ members?

I have decided to post the most unusual or relatively unfamiliar aircrafts first.

EC/RC-135

Overall its an average book with some errors like on page 182, it says that J-6 (F-6 in PAF) was used in 1965 war.

The nice thing to discover is that USAF kept some F-100 Super Sabres in Atom-bomb proof shelters and these F-100s were able to be launched without runways. They were launched with rockets.

What if PAF also keeps at least a flight of fighters in each airbase capable of being launched without runways through rockets. The attachement shows the launch of F-100. The method is called "Zero Length Launch".
