The ambitious proposal to counter India's water blackmailing games

where was that muscle in 1971 , 1998 ?
why don't you use that muscle to take kashmir ?
What happened in 1998? We have captured Indian controlled area and for months your forces failed to get it back....Only interference of U.S we vacate it.
1971 is a deliberate attempt to get rid of Bangladesh for political and military reasons....

We already took 45 % of Kashmir and we will take rest when time is right which is very near....

India Cannot divert water significant enough to cause damage to Pakistan its not feasible

In my view the problem stems from us losing Siachen Glacier. For Pakistan, it is imperative to take back Siachen and establish a seamless border with China's Aksai Chin. India can carry out all the river flow diversions it wants. When it loses Siachen, it will be confronted a unison front, opposed by both Pakistan and China. Strategically speaking, Pakistan Military needs to focus on how to take back Siachen, more than the Vale of Kashmir itself. Retaking Siachen and establishing a permanent Air Base, would permit Pakistan Military to focus it's entire attention towards coordinating with China on eroding Ladakh border.

This would essentially force India to rethink it's strategy and buy Pakistan time to consolidate and solidify it's positions in Siachen for permanent presence.

Also, not to forget that Pakistanis must focus their attention as civilians, to ensure planting the billions of trees that is envisaged in Prime Minister Imran Khan's ambition. Not just planting them, but also ensuring that the reforestation of Pakistan's landscape is continued uninterrupted and expanding steadily.

Water storage, cloud seeding of Baluchistan, planting trees in Sindh and establishing a network of desalination plants across Pakistan's coastline, are essential to cut of the snake's (India) head and it's efforts to undercut us.

u can see indus river in blue color and most of the water of indus is generated from GB and the river in light color is going towards IOK

Let's assume its engineering is possible, who will pay for it?

Will China construct a pipeline going upwards in elevation in the one of the most difficult mountainous terrain for over a 1000 kms ( that includes pumps large enought to pump huge quantities of water) as a gift? Or because a friendly nation asked it to?

Pro bono?

Bhai mangne ki hadd hoti hai

abhi tu ne rafael khareeday hain...woh mangey baghair mil gayee? chawal aadmi LOL

Spec ops units regularly train to blow up Indian dams in IOK, as do PAF squadrons.

The bigger question is our utter legal failure when tackling Baglihar under intl arbitration, as well as our water commissioner running away to Canada (and never being captured/tried/killed for treason.) You can look this up.
That's noora leaguers for ya. I hope those days are forever gone.

not a bad idea if you don't have dams .
only the enemy has the guts to actually attack em. you toys couldn't even harm let alone destroy the broad side of a "terrorist training madrassa"!

Through a water tower, where the water is elevated at a single point,
and then gravity will distribute the water to all the taps.

Nope no water tower. Let me ask a simpler question how does a straw work?

If your tap worked, you wouldn't have asked this question.

My tap is working fine thanks for asking.

This is not a practical idea. The energy required to keep such an artificial waterway would probably be more than what Pakistan can foot the bill for. Even desalinated water could be more economically viable than this.

That's why there are many benefits of getting whole kashmir. IF we occupy it, we will get Free water too.

This is a realistic option. Pakistan could plan for Kargil 2.0 :-)

Too costly.

A better solution is to enlarge the canals. If we deepen the canals by 50 feet and broaden them by 50 feet on each sides, we will not need new dams. The canal system can store a lot more water. This solution will also address the rapidly declining indus basin aquifer and declining underground water levels.

Every NICOP holder should be charged 10 units of his local currency to renew his/her card every year.
Similarly, every male citizen over the age of 18 must pay 100 ruppees to renew his NIC card every year.

This will net the govt about 2 billion dollars every year. These funds should be invested in canal expansion project and creating solar panel manufacturing company in the country. Pakistan needs to manufacture solar panels on a large scale.

Eventually, once the powers that be allow the most valuable commodity to change from oil to information, we could all have free energy. Free energy will mean unlimited de-desalination and reverse rivers - rivers flowing from sea to land.
I'd pay 20 extra bucks for my nicop if Pakistan used the money wisely like this.
