Without a doubt the Philippine strength is questionable but one never knows the strength of the army until there is war. Intact you can't count army as if its an independent institution from the state and the people as seen in history many civilians also take up arms and join their army alongside them and then ofcourse there is the determination, the patriotism and various other factors not taken intlo account...

According to such rankings the army one point better than Philippines would be abkr to defeat them.

And there you have it. These things are most definitely not taken into account like in the Russo Finnish war of 1939 where Russia suffered massive casualties due to the winter and icy terrains of Finland which were used masterfully by the Finnish forced yo inflict great casualties to a much much much superior and well equipped force.

Now ranking at that time looking the equipment of Russia would say that Russia could annihalate the finnis army with low casualty rate but that's not how it went at all.

Thus rankings can't portray at all the military strength of a nation bcz the military strength and capabilities of defence of a nation vary on various factors which go from the determination of the people to the terrain knowledge of the people.

Vietnam war and Afghanistan wars are another example of terrain and determination being a huge huge factor.

This is why I don't believe in rankings, surveys, opinion polls e.t.c

Precisely, and in regards to Afghanistan, well it even stems before the Russian involvement there. In fact back to the British-Afghan War in the early 19th century; even the 'all powerful' British Army was annihilated in its campaign in Kabul.

You are comparing a 2 man grenade traing to a live telecast of Philippine swat team rescue of hostages watching by the world? SWAT team is one of the core armed forces of any country. They represent the best of a country armed forces due to the need to handle terrorist or high threat. If swat team failed , more or less depict a country armed forces competency.

By the way, the well train instructor demonstrate the competency and bravery of Chinese soldier. Thank you to prove China superior point!

North Koreans are physically smaller than their Southern countrymen. North Korean troopers are underfed, under equipped, and ill trained. They would shake themselves out of their ill fitting uniforms if they ever meet the US Army.
