We are not masters yet, we are in the apprenticeship stage! :) We go from easy to difficult in the production of single crystal turbine blades.

The first product produced with this technology was TEİ TS-1400. This product is about to enter mass production and it is a 1400 hp turboshaft engine.

Next up is the TEI TF6000. It's a turbofan engine (6000 lbs) and its first prototype will be delivered before the end of this year.

. .

Nice - those blades are of the most important parts of developing engines - so there is a significant amount of de-risking of the core technology required to build the engine for the MMU.

.
That is why I posed the question involving the F110. The politics around it are not stable which makes the tweets about getting Russian and Chinese heavy engines somewhat believable. I would think Turkey would want a backup plan for an engine with a stable supply not only for the prototypes but more than likely for the initial production run too because you are building out that engine eco-system.
First of all, the F110 engine is not TFX's main engine. The F110 engine will fly prototypes of the TFX. Either on our own or in partnership with the British we will develop a 5th generation engine for the TFX that will produce 35,000 lbs of thrust with AB.

Let's say the worst happened.
a) We could not develop the engine we wanted.
b) there was no partnership with the British and
c) the USA does not sell any engines for mass production.

In this case, we will be able to produce an almost exact copy of the F110 engine in 2030. We already manufacture everything except the turbines of the F110 engine.

Will the USA get angry about the copying thing? Yes, the USA gets pretty angry. :) But the relationships are already so bad that we won't care at that point.

The TFX will fly in any situation, not without a engine. However, it would be ideal for that body to fly with an engine that will meet its demands.

Not only single cristal but titanium blisk technology, TRmotor did al ready started the project 4 years ago. I think in 3 years we will see a protype, each time they share picture they reveal more information. TF1118 is big question that need to be answered ASAP :p:. Ther is no information only a presentation.

TF1118? Please give your guesses. I am really curious.

TF: turbofan?

There is chance that Erdogan will lost in next election, what do you think on the opposition party leader ? Will they have much softer approach to Western nation and USA, unlike confrontational type of Erdo foreign politics? Erdo is also quite hard to Kurdish in Syria where they are western allies and incremental to defeat ISIS during Syrian civil war

Interesting choice of words.
A man who closes his country's interest over the west is called CONFRONTATIONAL.

Hei why are you always so emotional in talking with other member ? Chill out buddy. Here we are doing the conversation and discussing thing in respectful manner. I just saw your other "emotional" post in J31 thread LOL

TAI does things differently. Yes, the TF-X could be used for political purposes (most likely will). But the true reason behind the CDR thing is urgency. TAI is doing a lot of things at the same time. GTU-0 will be more than an empty shell. It will actually be used for engine runs, flightline tests and ground tests eventually. And according to info obtained the TF-X's design is pretty much finalized. This doesn't mean it won't go through CDR of course. And regarding the flying prototype argument, yes. It won't fly. But it COULD fly. They're not planning on flying this prototype, but the Development & Test Aircraft-0 will technically be capable of flying. Hope I was able to get my point across.
Chinese engines are inspired by Russian engines and they’re not proven.
Indian Kaveri engine is yet to power an aircraft but it’s inspired by GE F-404.
I believe that France , USA or Britain can transfer the engine technology to India because they’ve realized that Indians are about to perfect the turbofan engine technology
India has already made 9 prototypes of Kaveri engine , developed single crystal blade and its Composite coating and is trying to develop laser drills to make small holes in turbine blades.
if they (France , US , UK) don’t transfer the technology they will loose Hundreds of billions of dollars which they’re being offered by India for more than 1000 engines
in next 8-10 years India will develop a 110kN class engine just like they developed cryogenic engines for rockets and that’s the reason why USA didn’t stop supplying GE engines to India despite India importing S-400 and Russian oil

Copying it would take 20 years atleast even if Turkey is technologically the most advanced nation on planet because for other nations it’s 30-40 years

The WS-10 powers hundreds of frontline J-10s, J-11s, J-16s and J-20s. Plus there are more types of turbofans powering another stealth fighter, heavyweight transport and drones. The Chinese industry is already proven many times over.

The Kaveri has never powered anything that flew and is basically the only project in India. Why bring up India at all?

.
TFX basic design is possibly frozen, but the schedule shows that detail design hasnt yet being completed. CDR is a meeting conducted after the detail design is completed and there will be discussion with the users to determine whether the design fulfil their demand and prototype manufacturing can be started.

Detail design needs hundreds of design engineers, unlike basic design that needs less than that. For instant, Indonesian R80 program basic design has been completed, but the company, PT RAI Aviasi, doesnt have enough design engineers to do detail design process and need help and cooperation from Indonesian Aerospace.

By seeing the schedule of maiden flight in the end of 2026, we can actually see that.......
Well that isn't entirely true. TAI is quite secretive when it comes to this stuff. But let me just say that the GTU-0 will be a fully fledged prototype capable of flying. But this doesn't mean they will be flying it. GTU-0 is a development and test aircraft. Most of TAI's critical infrastructure will be complete by 2024, which means the aircraft in question will be used for certain tests. The design of THIS aircraft, is frozen. The design of the aircraft that will fly in 2025, is not yet frozen.

Because the engine which India is developing for AMCA will be the true 5th generation engine.
