That is an advanced Soviet design to face air superiority fighters like F 15. Chinese managed to put stealth upon it. If we buy that design from china and put our quality craftsmanship and Eurofighter EJ200 engines on it. It will be an aircraft on par with Russian PAKFA. Maybe even superior!

Bro, The project is waiting at pre-concept design phase. Although It is announced that It is the twin engine variant which is agreed to proceed, There is not a solid source regarding funding the actual phase called actual concept/detail design phase so Don't hope much things from S&H regarding TF-X.

I believe that Pakistan and Türkiye are working on a Jet-Trainer based on JF-17.
It fits in the time schedule that was announced, that it could fly before 2020,
far before indigenous jet - fighter which is planned is ready to fly and produced in greater numbers between 2023-2030.

That news is very new and interesting :

We have perfect relations to Pakistan and China and JF-17 has western Avionics from Israel integrated.

Israel and several European countries are being considered as suppliers for the plane's avionics.

A twin seater JF-17 will be inducted in 2016...

As for avionics .. It uses avionics from both Pak,China (western sources believe based on Israeli tech - due to Israeli partnership with china)... While its EW suite etc are European .. Provided by Spain's Indra ... A pod has also been developed (jointly) by PAC & an unnamed European firm (either Italian or Spanish).,.


Apart from that Block III will have AESA .. Which could be bought from either EU or China (depending on the results).. Italy has been offering Vixen AESA for quiet some time ...


As for production rates .. Currently PAF has is producing 16+ jets annually .. By next year (2016)... The production will be increased to 25.
