i appreciate highly........in modern age you have tons of other adventures sports...which you can enjoy no need for this animal cruelty...........

You cant stop watching cricket or football which as a sport have been around for only 400 years or less. Try telling these to rural folks who don watch these sports, who spend years on the field and enjoy watching two sport known and enjoying to them : Kabbadi and Jallikattu (and it is a 3000 year old sport)..

Dogs are reducing from that jobs.I didnt see a dog casuality in India till now.And neither they suffered with torture duri.g its training.

Didnt u see a 26/11 dog which lost a leg, and suffered for nearly 4 years and died last year? Dogs and Bulls have separate laws.
And before u tell Dogs are trained, yes, the Bulls are trained too. Some owners considers the bull as their own son. Their job is to train, eat and sleep for one full year especially for the "Jallikattu" .

I am sorry, but people who do not understand the Tamil culture cant really understand the importance of Jallikattu.

Like Scotland there should be a referendum in Tamilnadu for independence and it will happen soon .....

We respect the Supreme Court Decision. Before few years, Jallikattu was happening in so many villages of Tamil Nadu. There was some amount of idiotic tortures involved. Then some animal organisations got involved, and got the basic frameworks for the treatment of Bulls, and the criteria for the holding of Jallikattu in 2011.

Since then, the number of Jallikattu events conducted accross TN have ramped down. Its fine as long as the SC rulings have to be followed.

Now the rules are followed strictly, with vets from animal orgs inspecting Bulls before they take the field. Same for the mens too. And protection for spectators have been given paramount and approved by Fire Safety dept.

Inspite of all this, they still asking for the ban on account of Torture They should put a case against non veg foods and face a backlash. Fcuking Hypocrites.

We need a Constitutional law, with rules and guidelines, protecting the ancient sport from the whims of Groups and Courts.

They should ban them also.
But then Courts has a lot of limitations when it comes to the people belief .Like this Jallikkattu.Law enforcement agencies or Courts cant do anything if they choose to disobey the court ruiling.
Because this is about Tamils belief and tradition.

Kindly see my post #55. The thing is Police and local administration know, they cant face the wrath of the people if they dont give permission. Its a sport so ancient, that it runs in their blood. 2 years back, SC had banned once again. But organisers had went ahead with preparations. Police cant do anything. How many people can they fight or kill? So finally SC allowed them to conduct at the last minute. It has been the story every year since.

Regarding @manlion he is a waste of space and I even consider replying to him as a waste.

He is not a tamil at all. I never remember him replying back to me in tamil .
