I have watched Kapil Dev wining ICC World Cup for India single handed in 1983. I have also watched Sachin Tendulkar as often as I could. Both the players are cricketing greats.

Kapil Dev was a bowling all-rounder whereas Tendulkar was a batsman who could bowl. It is hard to choose between two as ‘cricketers’ but as a pure batsman Sachin was peerless.

Whatever Kapil Dev or anyone else said about Sachin does not compare with what Sir Donald Bradman said about him

He got some talent no doubt, but his individual record is more important for him than the teams benefits. What i said is just an example.. After his 99th century it took 34 innings to score his 100th ton. Would you think, if bcci is like ACB he would have scored 100 tons? Tendulkar is just over rated.

u are right u can never compare a defensive Tendulker with a Match winner like ABD... and bar Indians everyone in the world will accept that Tendulker was a boring batsman while ADB is a complete entertainer..

I agree I am fan of "Sachin", and was one of them who switched off his TV watching him getting out......But do i consider him as god of cricket???? "No" ...... Both are batsmen, both played all three formats in recent years. Maybe you don't want to compare these two because you just don't want to?

If you just ignore numbers, which Tendulkar aggregated in so many years and compare his percentages with ABD - you'll find interesting results - in all three formats of the game.
