Tejas grounded after snag in landing gear

every jet has its problems, hal should be looking at trying to possibly implement the landing gear struts from the naval tejas on to the air force tejas. this is because the naval version is built to land aggressively on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. also the balance based on the image shows that the tejas is rear gear heavy. if you look at the images below. notice how the main gears are near to the middle of the jet. this means upon landing most of the jets weight is on the gears.
also because the tejas's wing are delta wings they have to land a lot faster then other jets to retain full control.
so the combination of gears positioning and wings design are at fault. also finally because the tejas incorporates a lot of composites it may be that the composites are strained.

like the t-50 thats got composites and during testing they found that some parts of the jet, usually critical parts, they found the composites were strained and had fractures. so it was replaced with titanium. the same will happen with the tejas, more titanium and alloys.

you learnt all that, from just that pic ?:o:

Its not a big deal ,Even SU gets grounded ,By grounding it doesn't mean it is end its just precautionary measures taken to see weather it is an isolated event or it will persist. Any ways Teja is going through early stages of its development so it will be unfair for any one to compare with any operational plane .In time will tell LCA will have what and opposition have what .Thunder is fully developed probably 2 steps infront of LCA comparing it with it is like comparing Apple and Oranges .

yeah i know, but lets not think its grounded before it actually is..

i am of the opinion that New light landing gears are being tested.

that means only a single 0r a select group of samples are grounded.

no, not just from the pic, also based on my knowledge i already know about the tejas. the pic is a good reference for others to see the landing gear arrangement

By your logic it doesnt add up since any new development is done on test bed not on production variants .This is probably bad manufacturing ,or fault in some vendor supplied no major worries .

Give me a link which says mk2 is scrapped
The LCA Mk2 has been SCRAPED. There will be no Mk2. Instead the funds and resources will be spent, or wasted, in the AMCA. I am surprised that the fanboys of Tejas are unaware about the project itself.

Off topic, I think India needs to set aside ego and team up with a more experienced foreign partner to build a modern day aircraft. Stealth technology is not a joke and even a country like USA which has been flying stealth for decades (B-2, F-117) has to face hurdles in F-22 and F-35 program. Without proper guidance the Indian domestic stealth fighter program could take twice the time of LCA which is not good for either the IAF or the public taxpayer.
