Exactly! And this is what they don't seem to be willing to talk about:Some people are very proud to compare a fighter like Tejas which is going to replace IAF's lowest tier fighters ie, the mig 21(which it does very well).
With their soon to be so called "back bone" fighter.
Realistically the Tejas is enough for the jf 17's.I hope they induct more of them, even the parent country which developed it doesn't want it in their fleet. And only some poor nations which cannot afford any other fighters from Africa & SEA have shown interest in it.
IAF/PAF in 2025:
LCA 123- JF-17 150+
MiG-29UPG 70- F-16 80
Mirage 2000 50- Mirage V 90
Jaguar DARIN III 60- Mirage III 90
Rafale F3R+ 90+ - ??
Su-30MKI 300+ - ??
FGFA 20- ??
So on quantity and quality the PAF is utterly outclassed.
But of course, daddy China will take care of this and give 200 J-20s for free whilst daddy Saudi Arabia will finance the deal to buy 90 EFTs.
