For Turk members, an average Pakistani has no idea about Gullenist movement. They view these teachers as Turk brothers and show respect and love for them for this reason. An average Pakistani who has no idea about July coup in Turkey is confused at expulsion of school staff. The new administration should take over ASAP to placate fears of parents about schools being shut down. Meanwhile these teachers should go to Turkey and get their names cleared and come back to these schools if lawfully declared innocent in Turkey !!!

First of all, some turks here claim that it's not a big deal to end up in the judicial beaucracy in Turkey. That's BS I bet none of them had to go through the system.

It is not a facking easy thing and those who know the horror of the beaucracy try to escape that is a very human thing to do. Because there is no fair trial.

If you have to be dragged through the mud, through lava, and hell, just for AKP and the system to say "ok, you are innocent" then ppl will prefer being treated as traitors and never go back to Turkey. because the judicial system fucks up your whole existence, and your family's.

Let me give you an example. in istanbul Adalet Sarayi where my counsin resides as a judge, he is now dealing with cases where the workers aren't receiving their just salary from the municipality (AKP). these people have to apply to the court for a verdict just to receive their "promised" salary.

In a country where AKP has crushed the unions, and figuratively cut off the arm of the common salaryman, where justice is a fleeting word that doesn't occur immediately but in 10 years. who wants to waste their life on that ?

the backlogs of judicial paperwork and everything is horrendous...... and RTE and AKP just fired over 3000 judges.....

No sir, the common teacher without any connection to AKP politicians are facked in this system.

there is justice in Turkey, but it's slow, slower than a snail.

We as Pakistanis should not be picking sides be it Erdogan or his foes. We should respect Turkey and its people first and foremost. If Turkish govt wants their citizen repatriated, Pakistan should ensure it is not seen as picking sides. This is something that Nawaz govt has failed to do.

This is not about Erdogan vs Gulen. It's about Turkey vs Gulen. Unfortunately this sentence has shown that you are misled too. Some people and Western media in general are very eager to portray the situation as if Gulen is some peace-loving foe of the akp doing political opposition, which is completely wrong, and/or as if only the akp has problems with Gulen, which is also wrong. Therefore, picking Gulen over the Turkish state, no matter which political party is at the helm, is simply wrong, unless someone has bad intentions against Turkey. Pakistani govt did the right thing, unlike the US and certain EU countries, but that's nothing new considering those EU countries also openly harbor and turn a blind eye to terror organizations like the pkk and dhkp-c on their soil against us for decades, and now also Gulenists.
