Target killings claim 15 lives in last 18 hrs [ in Karachi ]

Could also be the Indians trying to ignite some sort of violence in Karachi on the heels of the Ashura attack - target kill a couple of political workers on either side to light the fire and the rest takes care of itself.

MQM- A and MQM-H have no love lost for each other and have a history of such violence, but on the heels of the Ashura attacks, with little public build up in tensions between the two sides, I don't see that old rivalry as being the spark here.

India!!:what: I mean do you think RAW has such penetration in Pakistan that it can target kill anyone in its major cities.:disagree:
I don`t think so...

What do you mean by 'anyone'? These appear to be low level party workers killed during their daily routines, not political leaders with Presidential level security that would make it extremely hard to get to.

So India carrying out targeted killings in Karachi to inflame the situation, especially after a sectarian attack, is not implausible.

I believe B Raman has indicated in some of his writings that India did engage in terrorist actions such as these in the past and he and other Indian analysts have argued for such an approach to destabilize Pakistan.

Or maybe its a false flag op. by the ISI so as to blame the entire episode (Ashura bombing) on India and thus divert the public's anger away from the failures of the state and security apparatus. Nothing but speculation at this point eh?

Oh you mean like the Mumbai attacks were a false flag by India eh?

Don't raise arguments (false flag) with me that I have not made.

Ummm.... for sure this scenario can be considered while it is all speculations. But, I would rather look at this as an episode post the Ashura blast. I think that the shops that were set on fire that day are now raising a stink.... and it is getting bloody.

Any which way you look at it - personnel/logistics/weapons/movement/information/objectives, everything would make this mess a bloody political skirmish as a greater possibility....
