Taliban to reward suicide bombers’ families with cash, land: Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani

Oh bhai merey Taliban fighter is not hanging himself with rope to a fan in a room and committing suicide because he lost all hope or "umeed" from the rehamat of Allah SWT regarding his situation rather he is happily giving his life performing an offensive act which due to circumstances involves making himself as a weapon (an effective one)....do you see the difference...

What's the difference between hanging and blowing themselves up?

"And do not kill yourselves, surely God is most Merciful to you."

— Quran 4:29

In the times of Prophet, many Muslims were brutally tortured and killed and yet not a single one of them commit suicide, they were facing a powerful enemy as well and yet they did not went against the Quran, strapping yourself with a bomb, hanging , cut your veins or any other means, suicide is Haram and anyone who commits it dies a Haram maut, Whether its Taliban or Pakistani Army personnel .

.
Suicide isn't haram in warfare.....please learn to differentiate...
Suicide is Harm even in warfare. If odds are totally against you. You can fight till death but not allowed to take your own life.

There is a story form Prophet (s.a.w) life, where one Muslim fighter took his own life after getting surrounded by enemies. Prophet (s.a.w) said, he will be in hell fire.

Japanese soldiers were called war criminals by allies, they were in the same camp as nazis.

Question is how do you define good and bad?

For instance, if Viet Cong was bad according to US, why are Contras in nicargua good? Why are Afghan Taliban bad but Syrian rebels fighting Assad are good?

Problem is that US sees its enemies as ideological adversaries and anything they do it is inherently bad. However, if groups who are ideologically aligned with US do similar things they are ok.

Example is war against USSR in Afghanistan. Mujahideen fully supported by the US committed suicide attacks against Soviets and Afghan communist govt at that time the only difference is they were called human bombs.

There is no black and white in this scenario. It is simply tragic.

If there is no black and white as you say...and what good is to one is bad to the other and vice versa.....then to me there is no moral grounds basis which we humans can differentiate ourselves from the animals.... To that point then
1. Hitler, Stalin, Saladdin Ayubi, Tariq-bib-Ziyad, Harun-al-Rashid....all are same....
2. Kashmiri and Palestine freedom fighters, and ISIS are the same
3. Our army and BLA/TTP are same...

I disagree.

Well to give a well informed response for you and others I have to dig through Islamic sources regarding this specific matter or have to ask a Muslim scholar.

Talib spotted. Please immediately depart to the "Islamic" Emirate. Your intellectuality is required by the prime intellectuals there ( the Taliban ).

And as for the other Talibs "happily giving their lives" you should ask the Afghans, including the women, whether they are happy with such "supreme sacrifices".

The Taliban have promised plots of land to the family members of suicide bombers who targeted US and Afghan forces, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry tweeted Tuesday.

The tweet, posted in English, echoed an announcement made the previous day by acting interior minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, who offered clothes and roughly $112 to dozens of male family members of “martyred” bombers who died for Islamic “jihad and sacrifices.”

The spokesman, Saeed Khosty, also said Haqqani considered the dead bombers “heroes of Islam and the country.”

“Now you and I must refrain from betraying the aspirations of our martyrs,” Haqqani reportedly said.

The acting interior minister’s comments suggest extreme aggression could see a resurgence in the now Taliban-ruled country — a move at odds with previous assurances following the fall of Kabul in August.

The US and its Western allies have warned the Taliban that they will not recognize its government as a legitimate legislative body should the Taliban allow terrorism and extremism to flourish.

The Taliban leaders’ meeting at a Kabul hotel Monday was the latest in a series of steps taken by the group to seemingly push Afghanistan back to a radicalization not seen since 2001.

The United Nations has predicted the entire country could soon be in a dire economic situation and will require additional humanitarian support.

The US has frozen billions of dollars in Afghan assets following the Taliban takeover in accordance with US sanction policies.

International monetary organizations have additionally paused as much as 75 percent of all fiscal disbursements the previous Afghan government relied on, the Associated Press reported.

The US has evacuated upward of 124,000 Americans, Afghan allies and at-risk Afghans since the fall of Kabul.

The State Department has said it will continue to evacuate individuals still stuck in Afghanistan.

Fox News could not immediately reach the State Department for comment.

Also an interesting twitter thread explaining about the leaked audio of the ceremony.

:D … this is a valid response to such a post…

Pakistani school books have no credibility when it comes to Quran, and if you believe in those stories you must also believe that Army on white horses were fighting as well..

Doesn't matter if enemy is powerful or weak, Quran is specific about the topic, you have a problem go fight/argue with Allah not me.

Quran is specific with a context in regards to human suicide.....not suicide bombings done to protect your country. You need to read hadiths and consult the Ulama on the topic.

Try not to waste my time again when you don't know anything about warfare and how it's done.

Here comes the Randian commie with "go back to Afghanistan" rhetoric.

At least they don't lynch people in Afghanistan for eating beef.

A oversea Pakistani cheering on a commie Indian against a fellow Pakistani...

How low can you go??

To end this debate on whether Suicide Bombing is Halal or Haram:

In December of 2009, a group of Muslim scholars in Pakistan issued a decree that declared suicide bombings and terrorist attacks as being haram: Suicide bombings and terrorist attacks in Pakistan are haram. Offering namaz behind those religious leaders who support suicide bombings and terrorism in the country is also haram.

The opposite view is taken by the now Qatar based Sheik Youssef al-Qaradawi, an Egyptian clergyman who is considered a respected figure by many Sunni Muslims as fellow AS MEA presenter, Dr Joseph Spoerl also highlighted yesterday when he informed us about the favorable perceptions of his Pakistani-American students on Qaradawi's religious views and fatwas. While condemning the attacks in the United States, he said rulings against suicide bombings were issued by "people who are alien to Shariah (Islamic laws) and religion."

Supporting Qaradawi on the use of suicide attacks, Sheikh lkrema Sabri, Jerusalem's former top Muslim cleric and an appointee of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, said: "Suicide bombings in Israel yes, elsewhere no: "The issue is decided,'" Sabri has said in an interview. "Muslims believe in the Day of Judgment and that dying as a martyr has its reward - going to heaven - and that a martyr is alive in the eyes of God." Sabri skirts the ethical dimensions/questions of conducting suicide attacks on anyone, acts that were considered morally repugnant in both the Quran and Hadith.

ln fact, Sabri supported Qaradawi's selective application of morality/ethics visa-vis the question of leveraging suicide as a weapon, which they defined as an act of "martyrdom .. . if it targeted Israelis."

Thus, for respected Sunni Muslim figures like Qaradawi and Sabri, suicide as a tactic of jihad is situationally dependent (emphasis added).

When the Grand Mufti Sabri was removed from office for constantly meddling in political affairs by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in July of 2006,. his replacement Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, seen as a political moderate by PA, did not waste time in declaring in a media interview in October of 2006 that suicide bombings are a legitimate (halal) weapon. "Asked to express his view with regard to suicide bombing, the new Grand Mufti answered: "It is legitimate, of course, as long as it plays a role in the resistance." In short, the views of Sabri on the use of suicide against Israeli targets are now shared by the current Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. Furthermore, no prominent Sunni Muslim Ulema has publicly challenged the Mufti on his controversial position on the use of suicide as a tactic of war which has traditionally been a condemnable offense per Islamic scripture and the historical traditions on the conduct of war (harb) against the Kuffar. This status quo on the subject of suicide bombing by a prominent Sunni Muslim religious leader in Jerusalem only serves to bolster the case of the lslamiyyun and their reliance on suicide attacks as a legitimate tool in a jihad against the Kuffar. It also serves to reinvent the Islamic historical narrative on the subject and, over time, alters the perceptions of mainstream Muslims towards the use of suicide as a legitimate tactic of war.

The most damaging, long term, effects of Muslim Ulema reinventing the legitimate rules of engagement in war (jihad) is the absence of any ethically or morally derivative constraints on the conduct of war. In short, the ends come to justify any means in the name of the din (faith).

Taliban civilian casualties, while appalling, don't compare to ISAF/NATO/US civilian casualties. Civilian casualties are to be expected in a war but the invaders deliberately killed and didn't caution their troops against civilian casualties. That's very different from civilians caught in the middle of suicide bombings.

Taliban aren't also recognized as terrorist. You should correct that. Official facts trump your personal opinion.
