Featured Taliban Tells India That It Believes In Peaceful Coexistence

. .
good to see India's U turn..

now tell us is it good Taliban now?

Nope. Taliban's interests and India's interests will never match. It will always be a restless relationship.

(I believe) India's interests lie with Northern leaders of that country.
What do you expect from a nation whose deities have multiple faces.

Shall I respond to you in kind? Look at your own religion please.

I see some Indians now debating on taliban and took a huge U Turn from terrorist taliban to friendly taliban because india stake in Afghanistan is on completly risk, better we allow taliban to visit Kashmir next to Indian border so Indians could meet thier new phhraandss! and let see how this fhriendd sip goes with in time.
This is just mouth wash . To pacify the Indians so that the US and NATO withdrawal goes smoothly from Afghanistan .

Talibs will show their real face from October. A face Indians will not like.

Kashmir is a beautiful country they make nice carpet and furniture. A paradise.

India is ambitious they want to control to entire region, because they fall to occupy Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Losing Kashmir means more part of India would seek independence such as Tamil Nadu and Bengal. As India cannot provide a better improvement of live for it people it stand at high possibility for each to be independence. Besides too many attoracies being done by India.

Bengal and Tamil Nadu will break away regardless.

Indian aggression in Kashmir keeps the country together both politically and socially.

India's frienship is vital for afghanistan irrespective who is in power.

During years of peace talk process, they didn't even consider to include such a VITAL among parties as India has no friendship but anti Pakistan interests in Afghanistan.

Really ?..

so why are are talking to them.?

Agree.

Like india, Northern alliance are corrupt, dishonest, have a lousy military, despite billions have done nothing to help their own people, filled awful people like Dustom etc

Birds of a feather flock together

Indian engineers and companies having been involved in setting up Infrastructure projects in Afghanistan. It is a unique feature of Indian Diplomacy that each nation is taken at face value and considered sovereign. Islamic republics, warlord states etc are all engaged without any moral judgements. (For instance, Saddam Hussein and Iran were both engaged at the same time in the past).

However, given the incidences of kidnappings and collateral damage from Taliban attacks, it must also consider the safety of its officers and staff.

The Taliban has an opportunity here, to engage with another country and make use of its knowledge in technology, Development and education, with no or minimal strings attached.

That is the strength of India's soft power.

Whether or not the Taliban will make use of this depends on backroom deals rather than value judgements and is therefore difficult to predict.

Taliban Tells India That It Believes In Peaceful Coexistence

Kabul (Jun 19): Amid the withdrawal of US and NATO forces from Afghanistan ahead of the September 11 deadline set by US President Joe Biden, and India’s policy on the rapidly changing ground situation in favor of the Taliban mired in doubt and uncertainty, the Taliban said on Saturday that they believe in “peaceful coexistence” with their neighborhood and region.
“Pakistan is our neighbor, we have shared values and history. India is also our regional country. None of us can change our neighbors or our region. We must accept this reality and have peaceful coexistence. That is in the interest of all,” Taliban spokesperson Suhail Shaheen said in response to questions on how the Taliban viewed India’s role in Afghanistan after the US withdrawal, and what their views were on the Kashmir issue.

He described the Taliban as a “nationalist Islamic force”, whose goals were “the liberation of Afghanistan from foreign occupation and establishment of an Islamic government” there. There have been reports recently that Indian officials have established contact with some sections in the Taliban, possibly Mullah Baradar too. India was left out of the Afghan peace process, which first saw the Trump administration do a deal with the Taliban for withdrawal of forces. Pakistan played the facilitator, and in the next phase, brought the Taliban and Afghan government representatives together for talks.
Through the last two decades, New Delhi’s development assistance of around $3 billion to Afghanistan gave it a good-size footprint in that country, much to the chagrin of Pakistan. But India’s future role in Afghanistan is uncertain, especially if the Taliban become the dominant political force. Appearing to confirm reports that Delhi may be adjusting to the new reality by reaching out to the Taliban, a spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said India was in touch with all “stakeholders” in Afghanistan.

But Shaheen said he had no comment on these reports as such talks are under the direct purview of Taliban's political office in Qatar. However, in response to public remarks by Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Friday that the Taliban’s “relentless pursuit of power through violence”, “targeted assassinations” and “territorial aggression” had made the situation in Afghanistan “fluid” and “uncertain”, Shaheen said this was a “distortion” of the reality.
“That India says Taliban are triggering violence is not in line with the ground realities. This undermines their credibility in the Afghan issue,” he said.
He alleged that the Afghan forces “launched vast offensives against us immediately after the third day of the ceasefire in Baghlan, Helmand and Herat provinces. When we reacted to their offensives, their forces didn’t hold the ground, evacuating military posts and bases one after the other. This is what we want to tell India.”
Meanwhile, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Saturday said that the only way forward toward peace in Afghanistan is through reconciliation, coexistence and talks among Afghans, and reiterated that Islamabad’s approach toward its neighbor has changed and it will favor a future arrangement that is acceptable for all Afghans.
In an interview with Tolo News, he rejected Taliban sanctuaries in Pakistan and said most of their leaders “are in Afghanistan”. He also denied the existence of Quetta and Peshawar Shuras, or councils in Pakistan and said he “has been hearing of these terms for now decades.” Regarding progress in Afghan peace process, the Pakistan foreign minister said President Ghani has “a very important responsibility on his shoulders” and he must “show the leadership and the flexibility” necessary to achieve progress in the peace process.
Also, Pakistan Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid on Saturday told the National Assembly that 88 percent work on the fencing of the border with Afghanistan has been completed whilst the remaining work will be completed soon. He said that the political parties should also discuss the regional security situation.
For more regional cooperation, Pakistan and India will also be participating in a meeting of NSAs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in the Tajikistan capital. Indian NSA Doval will be joining the meeting “in-person” on June 23-24, unlike the NSA-level virtual meeting of the SCO countries last September. Four months after India and Pakistan decided to adhere to the ceasefire pact along the Line of Control (LoC), National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is likely to be in the same room as his Pakistan counterpart Moeed Yusuf in Dushanbe next week.
The meeting is likely to be attended by Afghanistan’s NSA Hamdullah Mohib, Russian NSA Nikolai Patrushev and their counterparts from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Given the fluid situation in Afghanistan and the fragile peace between India and Pakistan holding for the last four months, Doval’s participation and his bilateral meetings on the sidelines will be key, sources said, adding that no meeting has been planned “so far” with his Pakistan counterpart.

Then why your government is moving more dug men into occupied Kashmir.i was reading somewhere India is sending more army into valley.. if Pigeon closed the eyes and think cat will go away t Then he ismistaken for her life. They never forget their enemie they remembered what you have done to them alongside Afghan Puppet government n usa.. fasten your seat belt lol 😆

Haha where is hawk doval when you need him?
The guy is biggest sham than Baba Ramdev. All these years everyone thought India can solve Taliban issue and now we see typical cowering and handshake with otherwise bad terrorists.

Because we knows there are Taliban commanders that only cares about Afghanistan and wont give a shit about foreign influences including Pakistan.
We are talking to those peoples.
Why should we solve Taliban issue?
They are none of our business.
.

Funny you guys don't even give citizenship to your own people when they embraced Islam. Now you talk about peace with Taliban. Perhaps Taliban is militarily beats India that is could be the main reason. Are you afraid of Taliban? You better do as they beats the US and USSR. Another reminder they are also blood brother with Pakistan. Lol.

We dont give a shit whom and whose blood brother and we are not some western nation that sees war and weapon as games.
We knows when to play games and as long as Talib mind in their own country we will have good connection with them.
If they test our patience in our border then we also knows how to deal , because our war will be to end problems not to creates one like US.

Ah the good taliban bad taliban by India. We knew it, we told you so but you guys were all macho when NATO and ISAF were in Afghanistan and now when you have lost the protection you will "Talk" to Taliban. We are not surprised, we could see through Doval and Modi chest thumping that they are cowards.
