Question is - Is turmoil in Afghanistan in the interests of pakistan?

What will Pakistan do if demands for pakhtunistan will increase? Remember, pakistan could not make taliban accept Durand line even when taliban recognized by 3 nations (pak being one of them) earlier.

Now, lot will depend on if there will be civil war in Afghanistan or not. 20 years of American help got wasted.

its not interest of anyone but its truth they can not live in peace .line is something else sir i think Afghanistan should be divided to 3-4 countries for greater good . the problem is pakistan want to enter in mess . why cant we close the borders and forget this side like other neighbors do ? 5 other countries have borders with afg too but no one suffer like us

The only sane statement I read was IK promising border closure if Talibans run amuck. Crazy Afghani dogs need to be stopped from entering the country. I don't really feel that IK and current political/ military leadership has it in them to make the right decisions.

Because no one has shit neighbor like we have aka Thirdworld shit hole… who is fueling terrorism inside Pakistan from Afghanistan so right course of action to kill their terrorism, you must interfere directly or indirectly in order to protect your country your interests. Its a simple equation… things are correlated… you can’t sit like a sitting duck and watch the **** movie going on exactly on the other side of your porous border. because Pakistan is a conduit for illicit trade in drugs, weapons, minerals and precious stones. A stable, peaceful well governed Afghanistan is not in the best interest of some powerful deeply rooted elements on both sides of the AfPak border. Shutting your borders and hoping the problem goes away is not going to work either. It will take a massive violent effort to establish the rule of law and dominion over these lands.
