Question is - Is turmoil in Afghanistan in the interests of pakistan?

What will Pakistan do if demands for pakhtunistan will increase? Remember, pakistan could not make taliban accept Durand line even when taliban recognized by 3 nations (pak being one of them) earlier.

Now, lot will depend on if there will be civil war in Afghanistan or not. 20 years of American help got wasted.

You just worry about India and quit interfering in Afghanistan, Kashmir and Pakistan else India will be next.

I am quite pessimist Taliban can overthrow US stooge in a short time frame. GoAF will have a drone force in not a too far future.

This will be a massacre to Taliban if these units can be brought online in a short time.

After the initial collapse of certain frontier zone, the GoAF will consolidate in loyal zone and any Taliban attack will be difficult.

There were all these other super weapons as well in the past that was supposed to change the fate of war for the ANA including the super Tucanos and combat helicopter, at the end of the day they didn't change the direction of war neither will anything else at this 11th hour.

What’s the estimation of soldiers Taliban have? With that kind of offensive, they have to have over 50,000 if we count the ones that hold and control territories.

Rest assured Ghani is no Najib. And the US support can never be compared to what the Soviets provided.
The soviet Union provided heavy armour, artillery and top of the line fighter jets, they even provided ballistic missiles to the Afghans. Nothing of this sort was or ever will be provided by the US.
In the resistance against Soviets there was a wide array of bands, there was no central Taliban authority. The Taliban on the other hand are a well organised and internationally recognised government in waiting
