Taliban dropped India from its thank you list. Delhi should face new Afghanistan realities

I don't think Biden is so stupid to reverse a major American foreign policy victory in Afghanistan. The withdrawal is hugely popular at home.

He wouldn’t have reversed it, but his base would have pushed him to force to try to renegotiate the deal to try and guarantee more “human rights” type of safeguards, causing a few more years of pointless delays.

Trump cut a clean clear deal, and his re-election ensures a more smooth quicker end to the war. Once Trump is confirmed as the winner, the Kabul regime will know they have until May 1st, 2021 to agree to a deal with the Taliban before the US pulls out. That’s less than 6 months from now.

What base? The American public are completely disinterested in Afghanistan. When was the last time the American MSM even covered any story on Afghanistan?
But I agree, it's better if Trump is re-elected to maintain the course without any modification whatsoever

The Left wing democrat base still has a strong feminist component. If Biden were elected, these women would have pushed him to Negotiate harder on women’s rights. It wouldn’t have made much difference but the back and forth would have just delayed the inevitable.

You are correct, Afghanistan is something the MSM is tired of talking about, and the American public are tired of hearing about. Which is why the Populist Trump is making the matter go away, and saving the tens of billions from it to reallocate for his wall.

Well where was that feminist component when Trump was making his deal with the Taliban? As I recall, the only major politician who criticized the deal was Republican Lindsey Graham, and he's no feminist, along with John Bolton, an extreme neocon who if he had his way would have a permanent American military base in every part of the world

India doesn’t border Afghanistan. A stronger Taliban will mean stronger influence of religion in Pakistan’s politics which would not be a good thing in the long run.

Not good for who? I welcome the Talibanization of Pakistan

The vocal hardcore feminists are on the left wing of the Democrat party. If the democrats take the senate which is also looking unlikely, they could still try to push for some amendment to any deal by holding up funding somewhere else.

Lindsey Graham just won re-election, so he may yet surprise us all, now that he’s set for the next 6 years. Even he may decide its best to just let the war end and call it a day.

but if the status quo remains, then I don’t foresee any change to current terms of the deals and the Kabul regime has less than 178 days left to finish negotiations at best. Trump could always pull out by Christmas if the Kabul regime doesn’t seem to be making any progress in the negotiations
