The afghan taliban have never been Pakistan's allies, even if Pakistanis have deluded themselves into believe such a thing. Let us never forget that when they were in power, they threatened to invade Pakistan, if Pakistan tried to enforce the international border.

Talibans are not stupid for keep on trying and focusing on Kunduz, which geographically speaking is way off from their traditional areas of influence in south. The kabul regime itself is giving all reasons to cut off the supply line from Pakistan. The northern supply lines must be cut before the push for Kabul. As a reminder from history, this is the same place from where, famously or infamously, the last of Pakistani military presence was extracted via c130 after the fall of Taliban.

We need to chock the Indians first before letting Talibans run their tanks over them. Terrorists must be terrorized.

Actually it is not uncommon there. A huge number of ANA members get there weapons and join Taliban. This is actually one of the main reasons why after over a decade of efforts by the world strongest powers they have still failed to exercise any real control outside Kabul and there bases.

That is right folks. Taliban winning more and more territory. Meanwhile NATO is asking for more British troops. US generals are seeking more troops. It is going to be carnage all over again.

These Afghans are an absolute joke. They cannot control their own territory, but shoot at unarmed Pakistanis. A bunch of cowards. Afghans won't find peace. It is in Afghan nature to be at war.

Without Russian and Chinese involvement Pakistan shouldn't become party to any deal. This has madness written all over it. Close the bloody border and repatriate the Afghans.

personally i dont want the talibans to take these areas the last time they did it i heard such horrible tales from people about the civilian population in the north it makes me pity the locals...

Listen, we the Pakistani are neither judge or jury on internal politics or issues within Afghan society. But, Let me remind you, these Northerners you are advocating for, are neither innocent or pure. They committed the original crime when Taliban came to them "unarmed" for negotiations when their movement was gaining momentum back in 90s. What these northern did, was a shameful act. All those unarmed Taliban were brutally murdered. That is how it all started. Selective narration of events without telling the whole story is cynical.

Only thing that matter to us as far a Afghanistan is concerned is to work with those who are willing and can do our bidding. Our priority, the only priority is to protect our people , our nation and interests.

There is a Ben Anderson documentary and these ANA soldiers or so called soldiers are nothing more than petulant brats who got thrown out of their village because of their "behaviour" and they end up in the army. In the middle of the fight they will start smoking chars instead of fighting. Low IQ means they cannot understand simplest of instruction and desert at will.

ANA is just a double crossing force.
