I agree with jhungary. The funny thing is that its the CCP thats the biggest upstacle to any reunification with Taiwan. Since the CCP is still a one party dictatorship(according to taiwanese) who censors the net/media , and thus is viewed by hong kongers and Taiwanese (rightly or wrongly) as hostile/bacward.

Unfortunately for China, Taiwan has already tasted western idea of democracy/freedom for a very long time now. They wouldn't accept anything less than that if ever they were to accept of reuniting with the mainland. As long as the CCP stays in power and refuses to become more democratic/reform, there will NEVER BE REUNIFICATION with Tawan. the KMT already said they wil accept to reunify with the mainland ONLY when china becomes a democracy like Taiwan. So the ball is in chinas court.

We all know the CCP wont ever accept that. Not anytime this century, bar a revolution .lol

Hong Kong already belong to China, there's nothing they can do or your beloved country can do.

Actually, there's quite a large segment of Japanese population that supports Taiwanese Declaration of Independence. There are also some Japanese Right Wingers who support Taiwan's Re-integration with the Japanese Fatherland.

technically, Japan only wages war with the US during WW2, Russia was neutral during 99% of the time of the war.

Russia only declare war with Japan after the Atomic Bomb drops on 9th August, 1945, Russia Declare war on Japan on the same day and the WW2 officially ended on the 1st September 1945 after Japan signed a unconditional surrender document on broad USS Missouri

Japan and Russia are at war for exactly 23 days....

If you attack me, that attack constitute to "Declaration of War" the problem is, Russian lacking both in Pacific Theatre until August 9. So, technically, Russia does not fight Japanese until August 9 1945, that's 23 days before the WW2 end on Spetember 1 1945.

If the United States intervenes, the Japan MUST intervene. It is a specific clause within the new articulation of Collective Self Defense. Afterall, the United States Navy and the Japanese Navy can address any naval threat in the world. Of that I am very , very confident and sure.

Just watch; after Tsai wins in 2016, I believe that a Japan-Taiwan Special Relations Act will be signed. After that, who knows, perhaps a Taiwan-Japan-United States Security Apparatus. IN Fact, we just held a recent Taiwan-Japan-United States Trilateral Security Dialogue this past December 2014.

Who told you the U.S.S.R fought Japan bro? Lool. Dont listen to Russian propaganda. They only declared war on Japan when they were sure Japan had already been defeated by the U.S and weakened after almost 10years of war of attrition against KMT china with no end in sight. lool. Russia fought japan for couple weeks when japan forces were already surrendering/retreating in China and all over Asia after suffering subsequent defeat by the U.S and allies. Russia played little to no role in japans defeat.lol.

I am not discussing Russia, I am discussing Japan. At least Japan deployed its most the most elite forces in northeast China. Japan always is a bad chess player.
