Taiwan usually tortured the Chinese fishermen by suffocating them.

Those Americans feel weird, so they asked isn't Taiwan a part of China? Of course, Taiwanese deny without any hesitation. They even spoke to Americans "we are from different countries, but we speak same language" This kind of things happened twice. From then on, I never accept Taiwan as a part of China. I will never beg them to be one of us. Some mainlanders are really naive.

Exactly, we need the island which is part of our sovereign territory. And it is strategically important to us.

After that, anyone living in Taiwan who thinks they are "not Chinese" are most welcome to leave, they can go and get citizenship in another country, or jump into the sea.
