I have studied Islamic anthropology a bit and the one thing which contrasts today's "Islamic Scholars" is that they are anything but. These ad hoc mullahs have no formal education in the religion, understand a very narrow and limited view on it, are then by nature rigid (unIslamic) and obtuse in thought. If you are even a little educated in the religion you can run circles around them in a few minutes. Virtually, none of them know anything of Islamic Jurisprudence, don't understand Islamic Fiqh, have no clue what Islamic theology is. What they have are scripts from a few ill-understood verses and carefull chosen Ahadith. Islamic scholastic tradition is of a very academic nature; Malik, Hanbal, Shafi'i, Jafar, Hanifa. People used to spend lifetimes in trying to understand a very limited facet of the religion but today just grow a beard, where your pants above your ankles, listen to an equally uneducated mullah and there you go, you are now an Islamic Scholar. These guys are illiterates. Did you know that there are centres which offer you a 4 year course after which they certify you as a mufti? Ask anyone of them what was the process of becoming a mufti 800 years ago. Bet you they have no clue.
How can people who don't even understand the religion be fit for preaching it?
there is, Tableeghi represent a sect [deoband] not whole Islam , Army hired Imam are from all sects.. 2nd most Tableeghis are not Ulma..
This is a very common misconception. The Tableeghis, when they are working in Muslim countries, are NOT preaching. Here is what a conversation is like. As you can see, there is no preaching involved. These are things which even a lay man can say after learning about them and memorizing them. WHY do you hate Tableeghis so much for this?

Assalam-o-Alaikum brother. Do you have some time?
Brother: Yeah, sure.
Brother, Alhamdolillah we are Muslims and the fundamental tenet of our religion is belief in La Ilaha Illa Allahu Muhammadur Rasoolullah. We have come today because we like to refresh the full meaning of the Kalimah. This is as much for our benefit, as it is for the benefit of our brothers. It is not a sermon, and we are not trying to lecture. It is a remembrance, and we hope to benefit ourselves first before anyone else.
So Brother, as you know, the first part of the Kalimah says There is no God except Allah. Religious scholars say, the word 'La' is a sword which cuts all Gods except Allah the Almighty. In order to truly believe in this, we have to wipe our hearts clean from the awe and respect of all worldly and materialistic influences. This means if we see with our eyes that fire burns, we at once in our hearts remember that the fire itself is incapable of burning anything, it is only with the Command of Allah the Almighty that fire can burn. As soon as the Command of Allah is removed from it, fire looses its ability to burn. For example, Hazrat Ibrahim 'Alaihi Salam was put into a terrible fire but the fire didn't burn him. At the same time, birds flying over the fire dropped dead due to its heat. The fire didn't lose its ability to burn, but the Command of Allah changed regarding Hazrat Ibrahim 'Alaihi Salam. Similarly, water sinks. But water cannot sink anyone on its own. It is dependent on the Command of Allah to sink. When Hazrat Moosa 'Alaihi Salam was caught on the banks of Nile, by the Command of Allah the water separated to make way for him. The very same water sank the Pharoah and his army.
Brother, the second part of the Kalimah says 'Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Aalihi Wasallam is HIs last Prophet'. This means our success lies in completely following the Sunnah of our Prophet Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Aalihi Wasallam. The Prophet is like the person with eyes who has seen Heaven and Hell with human eyes, whereas we are blind. If a blind person doesn't listen to the advice of someone who can see properly, he will surely suffer. So, in our lives, we need to implement every Sunnah of Rasoolullah Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Aalihi Wasallam. This will make our lives like heaven on earth. In the eyes of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'Aala, the tiniest Sunnah of His Prophet (Peace be upon him) is more precious than all the materialistic things in the world. So our source of pride, our excellence, our best interests lie in following all his commands. It also means that worldly things should become repugnant in our hearts. Our likes and our dislikes should get molded according to the likes and dislikes of our beloved Prophet. Our manners, our dress, all aspects of our life should bear witness to the fact that we are the slaves of Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Aalihi Wasallam.
Brother, after the Kalimah, the second most important thing is Namaz. This has been made compulsory on us five times a day which we have to say in the mosque. If there is some valid excuse, it is OK to perform it at work or at home, but we need to make maximum effort to perform it in the mosque. Religious scholars tell us that in Ahaadith it has been narrated that whomsoever goes for Fajr prayers in the mosque, he carries the flag of Islam in his hands. Namaz is our key to getting our problems solved by Allah he Almighty. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) and his followers (May Allah be pleased with them) used to get all their problem solved through prayers. Narrations tell us that the ride of a follower died far away from habitation. He performed two Rak'aat prayers and his ride sprang back to life. So brother, we should become like this and get our problems solved through Namaz.
Brother, in order to say effective prayers, we have to gain knowledge or 'ilm'. The prayers of the knowledgeable scholars carry more rewards than the prayers of a staunch worshipper who doesn't have 'ilm'. Obtaining religious knowledge has been made compulsory upon us. Every Muslim is bound to obtain enough knowledge that he understands about purity/impurity, the correct ways to perform Namaz, and halal and haram. For this, we must contact religious scholars and ask them to teach us.
Brother, in order for our prayers to be powerful, we need to enlighten our hearts through the remembrance of Allah, or 'Zikr'. Narrations tell us that if someone remembers Allah in his heart, Allah remembers that person. And if someone mentions Allah the Almighty in a group, Allah mentions that person in front of the angels. Brother, every sin we perform puts a black dot on our hearts. If we ask for forgiveness and repent, that black dot gets washed away. Otherwise, over time, these dots accumulate to completely blacken the heart. Brother, an advantage of remembering Allah the Almighty is that the blackness of our hearts gets washed away and it gets filled with Noor. Religoius scholars tell us that everyday at dawn and dusk, we should make sure to perform the three tasbeehat: 100 times recitation of third kalimah, 100 times recitation of durood shareef, and 100 times recitation of Istighfar.
Brother, even if we perform all good deeds, it would be no use if our intention is not correct. Under no circumstances must we try to impress people with our good deeds. We need to purify our intentions and make the Pleasure of Alllah the Almighty the sole reason for our efforts. A tiny good deed done with purity of intention is better than many good deeds that are done with impurity of intention.
Brother, we also need to learn good manners regarding our Muslim brothers. We must respect them, and treat them with kindness and generosity. In order to practically implement this, we have arranged Ikram-e-Muslim at the mosque. If you have some time to spare, please come to the mosque for Maghrib prayers and listen to the bayan. Insha Allah, after that there will be some Ikraam.
And finally brother, since Allah the Almighty sent Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Aalihi Wasallam as the last prophet, and no other prophet will come after him, it is now our duty to take his message and spread it to the whole world. So Insha Allah, all brothers make the intention to join this auspicous effort?
