How effective Pakistani bowlers will be on super flat wicket..as we saw in Ind vs SA warm up match....any comment
Pitch flat or dead Amir and Wahab are Fighters plus Amir's fast yorker and Wahab's ability bounce the ball even on dead wicket are their natural gifted one.

Qualifying round (aka Punishment phase) is over…….

Oman: Congratulations. Well played---even in adverse weather

Afghanistan: Welcome abode

Organizer (Big) @ Front Desk: You have concern for others’ few Bowlers, others have concern for your few Umpires.

Organizer (Small) @ Back Room: Still feeling grumpy & shaky ? Oh!...no!!.....don’t be a child. It’s just sport. Nothing in this world is for ever. Moreover, champions need to be well-mannered, broad-minded and impervious to criticism. Trophy inevitably will get dust but memory of high manners will shine forever.

If Taskin Ahmed’s action comes under scrutiny, why Indian medium pacer Jasprit Bumrah would be spared, that is the question now floating around on the social media.

Simultaneously, there has been a wave of criticism on the International Cricket Council, what Bangladesh cricket fans think is controversial in this regard.

A day after the ICC officials brought suspicions over the bowling actions of Taskin and spinner Arafat Sunny, social media is witnessing a massive outcry against the observation.

Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusingha’s comments have further fanned the already excited fans as they have begun flooding Facebook and Twitter with posts and posters.

Bangladesh cricket fans have gone even further to dub ICC as “Indian Cricket Council”.

The fans in their posts termed it as a ‘conspiracy’ to destroy the Bangladesh cricket in wake of their rising as a potential power before the cricket world.

Sunny to be tested today, Taskin on March 14

It was all but confirmed that Bangladesh pace bowler Taskin Ahmed will travel to Chennai on March 14 to undergo a bio-metric test after being reported for a suspect action during the Tigers' ICC World T20 qualifier against the Netherlands on March 9.

Meanwhile left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny, who was also reported in the same match, will travel to the the same ICC-designated centre sometime today.

The issue of suspect bowling actions of the two Bangladesh bowlers created quite a stir in Dharamsala, with most people including the Bangladesh team management expressing surprise and shock at a ruling that could not have come at a worse time with the Tigers battling with a lot of injury issues.

Actually the Bangladesh team management was reportedly in an argument with the game’s ruling body over the timing of the test. It was learnt that the team management wanted to schedule the tests of both players after their qualifying phase ends on March 13.

But the ICC, understandably against the delay considering that it would give unfair advantage to the team in question, wanted the test and results to be completed before the stipulated seven-day time.

While the official process was taking shape, Bangladesh coach Chandika Hatuhrusingha took a swipe at the ruling a day after both players were reported.

“I have not spoken to them [match officials]. But that's a concern as well. They have concerns about my bowlers and I have concerns about their action as well,” he said acidly on Thursday.

Although there was a mixed reaction about Arafat Sunny, not many were convinced about the ruling on Taskin.

The argument was that Taskin played the Under-19 World Cup four years back. And it was the best stage and time for the ICC to detect any alleged illegality surrounding the bowler's action. He also played the World Cup last year and has bowled beautifully in the five Asia Cup games in Dhaka last week.

Why was he not reported during that long period of time? It also led to many smelling something fishy in it. He has troubled a lot of batsmen in the Asia Cup with his pace. His six perfect yorkers against the Netherlands were a beholder's delight.

There is no inherent problem with the action the ICC is taking at the moment. If he has any problems with his action it must be corrected, perhaps for his own benefit more than anything else. He is not only an asset for Bangladesh cricket, but for world cricket.

It is appalling to see that swords are now out to crucify the bowler from a quarter even in Bangladesh, who claim that they were convinced about some of his questionable deliveries, especially his bouncers long ago.

Their wisdom and understanding about the finer details must be appreciated, but it seems that they have reacted a bit late and should have had the courage to go public then and not now.

It's not the end of the world for Taskin. It's something many bowlers in the world, and perhaps the best in the likes of one Muttiah Muralidharan, have gone through.

Taskin will go through it. It will be a small case of discomfort for him compared to the hellish fitness regimen he has been going through at this tender age. He has already become Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza's blue-eyed boy for the tenacity he has shown. He will return to action sooner or later. But we will never know if it's a clear case involving just cricket, a game that once belonged to gentlemen.

Apparently Taskin's action was alright in the Asia Cup and suddenly he started bowling with an illegal action, this is just becoming pathetic. Should have been reported after the World cup.

Sport is the gentlemanly and joyful ‘art of competing’. Positive emotion is part & parcel of joy. ‘High-tail Tiger’ is a harmless analogy stemmed from that +ve emotion. Why is your discomfort, then ?

Negative emotion is what makes one jealous of others' success and joy. That is unwanted, and that results in unfair techniques of using fiscal & political dominance and other immoral means (like discouragement, insult, denial to accept or recognize, meanness etc.) by the jealous party.

Where do you stand in above light ?.....still sore and discouraging?

I highly encourage and praise Afghanistan and Oman for their current achievement and stride.

Trust me i was really happy to see Bangladesh cricket team performance and there improvement as a limited over side, afterall we need more than 8 teams to play competitive cricket. There is no question of jealousy as far as Indian POV concern, you got be a kindergartner to bring that up (Do you really think we should be jealous of BD cricket team, seriously dude).

Have you seen the reaction (over reaction) of BD fans when they do well? Things you guys say are absurd to say the least. BD team still have to prove a lot, no team is a good team untill they go abroad and start beating home sides. Long way to go for you guys but the kind of attitude i see from BD fans is laughable. Its one thing to be emotional and other to remain grounded when you are improving.

Even when India won the first world cup in my view at that time we were still not a great side. We were getting there, improving. And from there it took decades and in last 10 years we got the confidence and infrastructure to keep on producing the talent to perform at every ground on earth. If I go by what I hear from BD fans here on this forum, BD is already there as one of the best side, best in Asia and what not.

I don't think sir. No team can be sure of defending 150 in India. 7 out of 10 times team will loose defending 150. Also spin plays important role here more importamt than seam bowling. I see quality seam bowlers but not spin in Pakistan. You guys will rely heavily everytime on Amir to swing the ball in first 6 over. And Condition will be against him.

Personally I still want to see Amir do well, I like his attitude, way this guy speaks (from what I have seen in interviews in Asia cup). There seems to be a bit of humility and confidence in him now. Happy for him.
