Beautiful news 'cabatli_53'. Thank you brother.

:cheesy:

A good news. T-129 made the first round of evaluation(Acceptable for combat). The second round of evaluation is test flight and price negotiation. If the rumors of Turkey offering T-129 at a large discount is true, then T-129 could beat Apache and Viper on the strength of pricing.
For smaller militaries with little prospect of facing heavily armored enemies, pricing could be a winner.

The latest news around the Umtas and Omtas missiles. Both missiles will enter TAF inventory in 2013.

Umtas range is 8km, Omtas range is 4km.

The UMTAS finished her helicopter launch tests on both Cobra AH-1P and Cobra AH-1W (super cobra) and is near to ready with an IIR seeker. For the UMTAS there is also planned to have a SAL seeker (Semi Active Lazer), the same like CIRIT missile to make the UMTAS interoperable with CIRIT on platforms with the same guidance system (helicopters aswel as land systems). The UMTAS SAL option is also offered to S. Korea in her AH-X tender where the T-129 competes.

Roketsan is also working on UMTAS version for sea platforms, initial agreements have been made with Yonca Onuk shipyard. Another version is the UMTAS extended range with a smaller warhead and longer range.

Roketsan further reports that she has made conciderable progress on the Ramjet roket motor and vows that new missiles will be developed based on Ramjet and UMTAS technology (long range land missiles and air to ground missiles)

Thanks Nutuk...

Close look to Turkish AT missile programs and NATO rivals wordwide.

Umtas = Hellfire, Pars 3L, Mokopha, Spike-ER
Omtas = TOW, Milan, Kornet-E, Spike LR
Shoulder Kmtas = Javelin, Spike MR
Cirit = DAGR, APKWS, GATR-L

What is the Payload of T-129B vs Apache?

I think Apache carries more firepower.

There should be no comparisons between T-129B and Apache. T-129 is in the same class as super cobra, but Apache is in a totally different class. Its a heavy copter design to shoot down other helicopters and tanks. Its not design for personnel support.

What Korea should do is to decide whether they want a anti-tank, anti-chopper helicopter or if they want a ground support helicopter. If they want the former, than apache is the only choice for them. If they want the latter, I would go with AH-1Z Viper over T-129 as its already available and a proven system.

This is like comparing a Cadillac (Upgrade), to a new Buggatti-Mercedes.
The fact is that the T-129 is on the market and is being put forward as a serious competition to the famous Apache helicopter, so it must have what it takes to enter the competition in he first place.

In literally no way is the T-129B superior to the AH-64D BLK.III and I think most would concede this.
