original tender contains 51 + 41 options total 92 ATAK (afaik) , except 9 for police so total is 101 now, 92-57=34 new model.

the only thing i don't like about radar is that it is occupying hardpoint .. It should be placed independently

milimetrik vawe radar give us new 3 addional extra power one is operation on bad wheather ,heavy snow,fogg etc,,,the second is can get geografic map at the range of 2.5km in all wheather condtions so you can fly as lower as altitute with maximum safety,and 3th you can follow moving targets at 27km range in all wheather conditions and shoot them so its gaining well beyond of losing one hard point,lastly its not fixed you move mildar whwnever you wish.Near future ı expect laser warning system for energy lines from meteksan company so you can fly on low with more safely

its because Atak is 5t helicopter, no power to lift additional weight. thats why Turkey plan to produce Atak-2 by 2025, it will be on top of it..

Unless its based on or copies the US engine it intends to replace, in that case process can fast track. Nevertheless you are right this will take quite a while to enter proper production.
