Apparently lobbying for obtaining an export license of British American LHTEC engines is not working so well for Turkey for couple of reasons at the moment.

1) Turkey's activities in Eastern Mediterranean and Libya

2) Pentagon is unhappy with the arrest of Fatih Ozmen (Turkish American) at Istanbul Airport, the co-owner and CEO of American firm Sierra Nevada which is working with several Federal branches of the US intelligence community

3) Greece is on military shopping spree at the moment for American military equipments, vehicles and fighter jets

It is said that Pentagon & U.S State Department are keen on tightening restrictions on arms export to Turkey rather than loosing them.
