There is zero chance we will win this. These types of tenders are purely political. As their future fighter aircraft procurement had shown clearly, they will choose American options purely for geopolitical reasons even though an European Aircraft won the tender. Plus it just makes more sense to opt for an already highly navalized attack helicopter such as the AH-1Z, and considering that the Koreans have no shortage of money that will probably be the way to go.

According to Ismail Demir there are talks on going with Italy for a cooperation on ATAK II.


Really hope this means Italy drops the AW-249 and wants to produce the ATAK II in house under license and not Italian Firms provide subsystems for ATAK II and the Italians continue with AW-249.
