If we won't integrate mildar to T129 WTF we'll do with it? what else requires a milimetric wave radar mote than an attack helicopter? :D

And cirit weighs only twice of Hydra, but we mount only one fourth number of the rockets, I think roketsan needs to design a bigger pod for cirit.

.
Could it not be possible to equipp Scout Helicopters with Mildar, they could perform Target assignation For a T-129 Group ?

.
A configuration with MMW radar is important to be competitive against AH-64D Longbow or Mi-28N in international market.

At trials, Mildar-1 detected the land targets with a range from 25 + km effectively. It is impressive capability for a copter to be used for surveillance missions. At present, Mildar-2 program is commenced to integrate it for Atak copter and Meteksan offers it for Turkish Armed Forces.

Now, Imagine Mildar-2 equipped T-129 Atak-B carrying UMTAS-ER (MMW guided variant) (max. 25km range) against enemy tanks... ;)

AH-1Z (8390kg): 750 round 20mm
T-129 Atak(5000kg): 600 round 20mm
Tiger HAP(6000kg): 450 round 30mm

and hopfuly a datalink system preferably a two-way data link, allowing T-129 crews to communicate or to control our UAV types

Why bother? looks like our "AC235" wil hang in the battlefield much longer than T129, If we place our gunships in the middle of our CAS fleet we can transfer data from heavier radars mounted on the gunship..

can save T129s from a lot of weight... If they can preserve the 25km range on mildar II we can mount them on only a few maybe 15-20 of our 90+ T129s

Look, we already have three layers of CAS aircraft, we must carefully plan a division of labor between them. I'm also beginning to think MALE UAVs will be transferred to Army aviation after some point ...probably after we get some stealth UAVs

KARACHI — Chinese and Turkish companies have been fiercely vying for business at Pakistan’s bi-annual International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) arms fair in Karachi.

Cancelled due to the devastating floods in 2010, IDEAS2012, which started on Wednesday and runs through Sunday, has taken place amid tight security and an uncertain financial climate. Despite the financial climate however, there was still a reasonably strong showing of international defense companies hoping to secure orders from a country facing a constant threat of insecurity.

@ Babar Hun : And it probably won't be - We're broke ! And with certain sanctions looming over post 2014 we'd be nearly bankrupt ! So I don't really see us having any cash lying about for these birds even though they'd be one hell of an addition to our Army Aviation Corp & a much needed one because our Cobras are old & in need of replacement.
