What's new

T-129 Atak & Turkish Attack Helicopter Programs

Buying stuff is more about international relations/politics than we care to admit.

We'll probably focus on friendly countries first and perhaps expand in the future after our projects have proven themselves.
I don't expect us to sell to Western / first world countries.

Need to high protection here (Red circle) and very quickly.

T129 B2 will come with a modified nose section which will contain gatling gun mechanizm modification (I think) as well. As you pointed out It is required a revolutionary design on nose section. It is also a good idea to hide munition stores into a bulky box like apache has instead of a long strip block.

According to Dortkasli, B2 will be modified variant of B1. Engineers will play with take-off weight (max. 5500kg). They will design a Longer nose section (I think It is about FLIR and Gatling position), heavier weapon payload but lighter avionics (Maybe Aselsan CATS or AF335 and light weight new generation MFD's...)

What Dortkasli tells, continuously reminds me a T129 like that.

It is known that Italians were also applied a similar concept like Apache on their A129 in past.

Yes below - at the rear -. It is ‘much less vulnerable’ than on the nose.

Boeing AH-64 Apache

Hughes M230 Chain Gun

Brother, do you got any more information regarding the helicopter above? Is this a A-129 configuration? If so, what's its designation?

I know it is highly improbable since we may not allowed to work on the engine section but who knows in the future we may reconfigure the engine exhausts (upward version) to reduce the heat signature as well.

What makes you think the current design doesn't disperse heat signature? any other design would make the engines work less effciently.
