It also depends on the attitude you are firing it from..

I don't think that is relevant in this case. After the initial horizontal velocity is gone, the only thing driving the round is wind as the affecting horizontal power on the round. and gravity which pulls the round down as vertical power. So when the initial velocity is gone, it will curve till its perpendicular to the ground.
