What's new

SZ-9 launched successfully`!!!

Because each manned mission is a solid footprint for our space program, and we don't need to perform the same manned mission 100 times before the Moon Landing. :coffee:

Not disparaging you guys in your happy moments... (more so, because we're no where close, right now).

But, in your own thinking you are comparing with USA (or the erstwhile Soviets).

Both of those space programs were proceeding much faster .... and that too when the elecronics technology was really poor.. ditto with computing power and all other technologies.

US was taking moon shots at this stage of their program... with 1960s technology.

At least the politeness of many Indian members is still highly appreciated. :coffee:

lol, we are not comparing ourselves with the Cold War USA/USSR, they were actually overstretching themselves in a space racing, whereas our space program is actually very economic compared to theirs.

BTW, our Moon Landing is scheduled for 2020-2025, whether you like it or not, we are going to keep at this pace for our space program. :coffee:

China isn't in a space race so it's slow and steady for us , the USA went to the moon due to the soviet union while china right now plans to go around 2020-2025.

. . . . . .
That will be the day when our own space station will be completed. China should continue this steady pace and make sure everything goes to plan. The Americans have shown us that many things could go wrong and disasters are not just a blow but also very expensive as well. China is not in a race with any country so there's no need to rush. No other country is even close to build its own space station and China's goal is to be the 3rd nation to achieve this.

2nd independent nation!
the first is a "conglomerate"!

What about the skylab? Doesn't that count as a space station from the US?

. . .
Salyut-1
Salyut 2,3,5 also called the Almaz

Skylab 1973-1979
Mir 1986–1998

Yes China is the 3rd nation who is capable to build a space station.
