Contrary to reports of the Pantsir's being Russian manned in Syria, the SyAA released photos of the victorious Pantsir's deployed at military bases with their Syrian crew. The sales of these things will go through the roof now! Supposedly easy to operate and highly effective.

This will no doubt become the next Russian iconic SAM system. 40 Pantsir-S (Top) and the later S1 (Bottom) trucks are now deployed throughout Syria.

AMMAN (Reuters) - A false alarm led to Syrian air defense missiles being fired overnight and no new attack on Syria took place, Syrian state media and a military commander said on Tuesday.

Syrian state TV reported overnight that anti-aircraft defenses had shot down missiles fired at an air base in the Homs area, and a media unit run by the Lebanese group Hezbollah said missiles had also targeted an air base near Damascus.

The incident underscored fears of a further escalation in the Syrian conflict after a U.S., British and French attack on Syrian targets on Saturday and an air strike on an air base the previous week that Damascus blamed on Israel.

Syrian state news agency SANA cited a military source as saying a number of air defense missiles had been fired but no foreign attack had taken place.

Separately, a commander in the regional military alliance backing the government attributed the malfunction to "a joint electronic attack" by Israel and the United States targeting the Syrian radar system.

The issue had been dealt with by Russian experts, said the commander, who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity.

State television had showed pictures of a missile it said was shot in the air above the air base.

This wreckage of a French SCALP missile was probably recovered from the location of the Him Shimshar CW bunker where it was used.

In fact I saw a footage in which a Syrian official pointed out that 2 x Tomahawk cruise missiles had struck the same target in some locations.

In total, 58 Tomahawk cruise missiles had struck that airbase.

Back then, I mistook Russian propaganda for an honest 'error of judgement' but now I realize that Russians are pathological liars. They are proving themselves as much.

Achieving an hit-to-kill intercept in real-time conditions is not a joke for even a technologically advanced country. Few systems have demonstrated this capability in the battlefield and otherwise. Even in the case of S-400 system, only 77N6 type missiles are designed to achieve for hit-to-kill intercepts in real-time conditions (and these are not mass-produced yet).

Satellite imaging confirmed 44 impact points in Shayrat airbase. Next was to figure out whether two cruise missiles struck the same target and I have seen a footage which suggest as much.

Russian propaganda of 23 impact points and interception of the rest is FALSE. Why don't they provide evidence of so many intercepts? Imaginary intercepts are convenient to tout.
