It is a little northern European country that has taken in more Iraqi refugees the KSA and other Gulf Arab oil rich states, and has provided aid to many poor Muslim countries. They have also made Jas Gripen, Saab, Ikea, and many other wonderful things...

Saudi Arab is an absolute monarchy. Its political system is based on cronyism and nepotism. So I think it is safe to call it a dictatorship in the light of modern semantics. But I think a softer term would be Islamic dictatorship.

What is up with Sweden making ridiculous remarks lately. Of course we know KSA is a dictatorship... Last time Sweden said they oppose the Iran-Pakistan gas-pipeline and deem it not viable and both countries should not pursue it....lol

Sweden is confused.

On one hand it supports palestine an Arab state and now it curses another one for its own system.

So what if it is not a democracy? If this is about choices, then I don't see why should other countries butt into the ruling system of any country.

Vietnam is Communist, USA is Capitalist Republican (NOT democracy), Russia is authoritative oligarchy, UK is parliamentary democracy, Singapore and Taiwan are authoritative unitary states... every country has a different system of ruling.

Even though I am Indian, I support freedom of choice of each country.
