The geopolitics of the subcontinent is very different than the geopolitics of Russia and Europe hence not a like-for-like comparison.
If an agreement is being broken as in the case of NATO and Ukraine then the country facing a security risk(russia) can demand.

NATO and Russia made an agreement in 1997 where Russia acknowledged Ukraines right to join NATO.
Read up on the ”Foundation Act”.
So NATOs expansion is not violating any promises.

You need to read up on Geography, Mexico is not at all close to our borders.
Russia already have nuclear tipped missiles in Kaliningrad and is practizing nuclear attacks on our cities, wjich is why we are likely to join NATO together with Finland.

Russia never made such an agreement.Specially for Ukraine which is considered little Russia by Russians.
Kaliningrad is a part of Russia , surrounded by hostile NATO states.Installing nuclear missiles or whatever over there is not the same as deliberately installing arms and ammunition close to Russian borders from thousands of miles away. Just for provoking Russia and later cry like a whore when Russia unleash it's forces in retialiation.

You didn't learn anything from WW2. Their land mass and resources are huge , they can fight and inflict damage for quite some time while fighting on multiple fronts. No other country in Europe can afford that.

That's not how we interpret the agreement in code words or by implication. And it looks like the US, NATO violated the above agreement with Russia by not respecting it's territorial integrity and security concerns.
Do you really want to see dead bodies rotting in the streets of Stockholm? Or your girlfriend, mother and sister raped by Russian forces in front of you , just imagine the humiliation? Or all the houses and cities reduced to rubble?
I am not endorsing those war crimes but they are inevitable in any war. Just look what happened in Ukraine. War is a nasty thing.

At best you can capture the Leningrad region close to your borders , you can't go even close to Moscow. Your landmass and resources are tiny as compared to Russia. You cannot win against Russia with or without NATO. Your land mass is even smaller than the donbas region Russia captured in few weeks. At maximum 4 weeks Russian forces will be in helensinki and Stockholm.

The agreement was between existing NATO states and Russia not the future states aspiring to join NATO.

This means that they can apply for NATO membership without protests from Russia, and NATO can accept applications without protests from Russia.
