Sweden promises to shelter coup plotters, calls Gülen 'opposition leader'

Sweden has decided not to send back coup plotters linked to the Gülenist Terror Organization (FETÖ) coup attempt in Turkey. Calling FETÖ terrorists' leader, U.S.-based retired imam Fethullah Gülen, an "opposition leader," the Swedish migration agency, Migrationsverket, said several plotters are his "supporters."

It did not put any figures on how many people are in those groups. Last year Sweden received 253 asylum seekers from Turkey. Although it was made public yesterday, the decision was taken three days after the bloody July 15 coup, according to the Associated Press report. Speaking on German state broadcaster ARD on July 25, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan railed at Germany for what he called its indifference to PKK and FETÖ members and questioned the European Union's contribution to the anti-terror fight.

Asserting that EU countries will find themselves in grave danger should they further fail to collaborate with Turkey, Erdoğan said the world should work together to tackle terrorism. Speaking at the Presidential Palace in Ankara for a commemoration for those killed and wounded during the coup attempt on Friday, Erdoğan also lashed out at what he called Turkey's so-called allies. "No country is our ally when they're more concerned about the fate of putschists while not being worried about Turkey's democracy, the lives of our people or its future," he said, and slammed once more European Union countries and other Western states for their indifference to the casualties from the coup attempt.

The west is the most dangerous enemy of democracy in any Muslim state. Sweden and the US have proven this with utmost disgust. Turkey should help Russia in every possible way to choke the life out of these so-called democratic states which secretly encourage to sabotage democracy in Turkey. The opportunity will come and Turkey should act then. In the mean time Turkey should bring down the diplomatic relation to bare minimum.

The Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Zhang Ming is expected to visit Turkey to express his country's support for Turkey following the failed coup attempt, Turkey's Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, Zhang Ming will be visiting Turkey from August 3 to 6 to convey the Chinese administration support message to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the government led by Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım.

Ming is also expected to hold meetings with his counterparts in the foreign ministry, and will also visit the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.

Military troops loyal to the government, along with police units and millions of Turkish citizens, succeeded on July 15 in quelling a coup attempt, launched by a small military junta linked to the Gülenist Terror Organization (FETÖ).

Turkey's government has repeatedly said the deadly coup attempt, which killed more than 230 people and injured nearly 2,200 others, was organized by U.S.-based Fetullah Gülen's followers.

Gülen is also accused of running a campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary, forming what is commonly known as the parallel state.

Runaway FETO/PKK/DHKPC etc....I think because our intelligence services are being reformed and streamlined, I believe we will have a much more aggressive stance towards traitors on foreign soil after the July 15-16 experience

If Turkey does provide evidence of their involvment then we should hand them over but I expect nothing from this goverment. Our foreign policy has been weak for a long time. It is practically run by Brussel and USA.

Traitors on foreign lands are just small fries compared to the ones behind those fries. Turkey and its people have discovered a bitter truth about their western allies. Hopefully they will stay on right course in future. The entire non-Muslim world has revealed its prejudice and fears so nakedly that even after this if the Muslim World does not wake up it has no hope, it is doomed!

Couldn't agree more, the politicians in most westen countries have the white privilege mentality and really believe they are better than everyone else on this earth.

Majority of the people in the west are good people that see other humans as their equals, but many of their politicians look at the rest of the world as if we aren't equals and need to be enslaved by their smart tactics, they call it a democracy but their foreign politics usually consist of colonialism that has taken a new form.

This racism and white privilege isn't just against the people in the middle east, it's against everyone that is non-white which includes:

africa
and many other.

It's the minority against the majority.
