Ok, unfortunately, no one tried to go through the survey or understand the survey results. I admit that the methodology is a little complex but anyone with basic knowledge of statistics can understand broadly what the results mean. As the table below shows, this is a
postive report on Pakistan in the sense that an
absolute majority DO NOT support militant groups including the Kashmiri ones. Please read and make an informed opinion otherwise refrain from posting nonsense.
Notice that all graphs are
negative. NWFP, Baluchistan and Sindh are overwhelmingly against militant groups. And while Punjab is close to the 50-50 mark it is still negative for Kashmiri militant groups but slightly positive for secretarian groups.
This does not mean that these people "don't care" for Kashmiris and their well being or their human rights, just like not supporting militant groups by Indians or even local Kashmiris doesn't mean that. It only means that these people agree that violence in the name of Islam is not helping Kashmiris and is most likely harming their cause as well as the name of Islam by their actions.

On another note, it would have been interesting to include Uighur/Xinjian centric groups as well in the survey. Muslims in Xinjiang were in overwhelming majority in 1959 with Han Chinese at 7% while they now make up 40% of the population. The Chinese govt. has tested its nukes in these areas were the majority affected were naturally muslims and even today, the religious rights let along their political rights are not met fully. For example, young Muslims can't go to Hajj or pray in mosques.
Would there be similar level of support, because those who support both militant groups i.e. Kashmir centric as well as Uighur centric would at least be honest to their thinking, while those who oppose the Uighur groups when infact, Muslims in Xinjiang have faced a worse fate than in Kashmir would obviously be hypocritical in their opposition
