I don't like mega city, Da Nang shouldn't become to that type.
I want to be your neighbor @Carlosa in Da Nang. But I'm not sure I can bear the charge or not.

A nice fact, by time there're more and more foreigners incl. oversea Vietnamese people want to retire in Da Nang.
That trend could lead to increase the population rapidly.

There're millions people like me want to move to Da Nang. You should start worry about that Carlosa

The first company I worked for, established a branch in Da Nang in 2001 or 2002 for distributing the company products. I control the order from all branches incl. that.
Da Nang is very different at that time.

I feel the same about megacities, but the Danang government people, same as all the others in Vietnam, always think that bigger is better and the city makes a lot of money from selling land to developers, so they push development as much as they can; they already gave most of the beach to private owners for resorts and villas, many kilometers of beach. In Europe for example, nobody can own the beach, its public property, but in socialist Vietnam, that's no problem.

There are already a lot more foreigners living in Danang, but they are nothing compared to the local population, even in Thailand, where there are many foreigners that retired there, the numbers are still low.

A lot of Hanoi people like to come to Danang, there were lots of them during the international fireworks festival, 2 weeks ago.

Description of this is about tourists enjoy Vengaboys show from the beach of Da Nang.
Someone doubt about that. Could you confirm that, pal ?

Do I envy with a Spanish guy living in Vietnam? .... yes I do , a little, about location of his house. I am living in Hanoi feel the hottest and coldest seasons of the country, sometimes 100% humidity.

Wait for 1 or 5 years to watch a terrible firework, while Da Nang has annual great Firework Festival for few nights.

As far as I know, people liked the Vengaboys show (both tourists and locals). Actually, they had music and bands playing at the beach everyday during the festival and they still do now every night, its typical during the beach season.

Danang never gets really cold (for European standards), but it does get hot in the summer since the wind comes from Laos during that season while during the rest of the year we get the ocean wind. We do get a lot of rain during the rainy season mainly in October and November, that's the typhoon season also.

All that development in the beaches and near the beaches fails to considers the typhoons, but the typhoons will come sooner or later and they will not be nice to all those resorts and villas, etc.

Plenty of sand and clear surf man, the Danang beach is also the beach known in USA as China beach, its quite well known there under that name, that was the name given to it by the American GIs stationed in Danang and by the TV series of the same name.

Come over man, beer is good and cheap.
