wtf is this all about? trees?
I know there are no trees in kuwaits. So you dont know how important they are.
yes there are less of it but i won't say none at all. But my homeland Bangladesh is filled with trees everywhere but seriously, this protest has to be something more than the trees. what is it all about?
Ok lets be serious, its really not only about trees.
First there was peacefull activists in park to save trees but police attacked them with pepper spray, then things turn violent.
Our PM said he would built that mall in this park no matter what so people got angry and protested against goverment and its more and more autocratic ruling during last years.
Then some small anarchists and terrorist groups also joined the protests and PM said all protestors are marginal and terrorists.
At friday after two weeks of protest goverment accepted a delegation from protestors for dialogue but it was not really successfully so the protests still going on.
so the point of the protest was hijacked and now anti-govt stuffs are going on? are the protestors hurting the economy in any way? ie: blockade of roads and riots?

You wouldnt write such a comment if you'd know istanbul.Nice to see both the faces of the current situation. Firstly, the violence has to stop. Tree hugging is an excuse for all these. Next, the protesters should wait for fair election to topple the govt if that is what they wish. Looking at the ruling party's popularity, it does not look the everyone is against the building of mall on that land. Anyway, if the tree huggers[sorry if that sounds offensive but that is how it looks to me] are so desperate to get an open park why don't they donate say 5% of their money in a trust and then with that money open a private park in private land rather than this? sounds more sensible
